I came here specifically for vegan food, ordered off the vegan menu, and was not told I was served actual crab rangoon until after they were consumed. I am lactose intolerant. You're very lucky I have no crab allergy. If I meet any other vegans in town, I'll make sure they know to avoid Thai Topaz.

Very disappointed to see that the receipt includes a suggested tip AND they automatically add 10% tip. So if you give a 15-25% tip, you’re really giving 25-35% for a to go order. Very disappointing. I always tip well even on top go. But that added tip without the customers clear knowledge or a sign displaying that will happen somewhere in the to go section will ensure if I do return that’s the max they will get. No more tipping 25% only to have sticker shock at their audacity. What a shame. I thought tips were earned. Not automatic. Again, this is to go, not a large order, not a complicated one. The BOGO anniversary and birthday meals are great, but at the end of the day, you can suggest a tip, but you shoot yourself and employees in the foot, when you assume gratuity. And it seems nefarious to not have signage up or on the website. Usually the food is pretty good. But I was extra salty bc of the lack of in 2/3 of our meals. Before we ate I spent about 5-10 pulling out my seasonings to give it some flavor. That may be a one off. But the it’s definitely not a one off with the 10% auto gratuity and the receipt that looks like a high school accounting homework assignment showing 3 totals.Total (subtotal + tax)10% gratuity (Total’ (subtotal + tax + 10%)Then a place where you include the tip and you’re giving and the new new total. follow? Exactly clear as mud. I queried my service industry friends. All stated that only with large parties do they like the automated gratuity bc they usually are short short changed when it’s applied to smaller parties and have to deal with irate customers from time time if they see the added charge. Man, this was a sad time having to write this review. I’ll give the then another shot…. Maybe when I’m less salty about it.Dietary restrictions: Vegan options

My mom’s nutritionist recommended the emerald salmon plate for her, so we decided to pick some up to go. Salmon in coconut milk with asparagus & avocado & a side of steamed rice worked really well for my mom. She purchased the larger portion & turned it into two meals. We also tried the lunch special pad Thai & spicy mango delight with shrimp plates. All of our dishes were requested with zero spice level & the flavor was perfect. Even the spicy mango delight with shrimp was full of flavor but not spicy. It looked like it was going to be too hot but surprisingly it was just fine. We will definitely be back for more.
