I have been here multiple times and the food is pretty good but the service is bad. My brisket was a little too fatty for my liking but my sides were really good. The one thing I need to mention is how unfriendly the staff are. They make you feel like an inconvenience just because you want to order food here. Don’t expect friendly smiles, please, and thank you here because you won’t get it. Not sure I would recommend this bbq spot. The smoke shack and bar b que station are close by and I really like these places better.

EVERYTHING you'd expect---and more---from a Texas BBQ smokehouse restaurant: this family-owned, multi-generationally staffed restaurant served me THE very BEST, juiciest, smokiest, fattiest most delectable Texas brisket I have ever had since moving to the Lone Star State earlier this year.
I have sampled many different BBQ diners, restaurants and smokehouses but The Big Bib BBQ was outstanding! Family recipes for Mac & Cheese, Potato Salad, Pecan Cobbler and more pleased my dinner companions as well.
I can't recommend this excellent restaurant for true BBQ more. You really NEED The Big Bib BBQ! Oh, a tip: Sunday lunch is very busy and fairly sold out from the loyal church crowds, so, plan a M-S Lunch or early Supper before their daily smokehouse offerings are sold out!

This place was recommended by one of our loved ones. Unfortunately, I and my husband didn't like the food at all. However, the Kool-aid was good. The brisket was tender but lacked seasoning. The mac and cheese was mushy and tasted like powdered cheese. The chicken was not dry but it wasn't good either. The sweet potatoes had nuts in it which I think was stated on the sign but it wasn't good at all. My hubby didn't like the pinto beans either. I wanted to love this place seeing that it appeared to be a black-owned establishment.

I give up. Funny how several people ranked this place as their number 1 bbq spot. Omg! Yikes!!! Are the ribs boiled then baked? Where is the smokey grill taste? Rib Tips are on the menu BUT I guess they only make enough to sell for the 1st hour.

Phenomenal BBQ! I got the pulled pork, brisket, pinto beans, sweet potato casserole, Mac and cheese and collard greens. Everything tasted good, true authentic BBQ sauce (not vinegary like some) the best side was the sweet potato casserole with the Mac and cheese coming in as close 2nd! Will be back again!!

I have found my new favorite BBQ spot in San Antonio! The brisket was amazing and moist, and the smoke and bite on the baby backs was perfect. The pintos were spot on, and the sweet potatoes was damn near dessert! I will definitely be back.

Love the music, I haven't had a chance to try the food. It would be awesome if they had food available when they have jazz, just saying save some for us..
Very good BBQ, I had a brisket sandwich with beans on the side and she had a half chicken. $28 with fountain drinks, Pepsi products, I had tea, which was good. The sauces were very good too
