There are a lot of options for food, drink and entertainment.
Consider this carefully.

Vegetarian options: I'm not a vegetarian. Can't help you here. It's mostly, just don't order meat.

The Buckhorn Saloon and Museum is definitely a place to visit while you’re in San Antonio!! The amount of animals and artifacts on display are absolutely amazing. I’ll have to try their restaurant the next time I’m there, but overall with it being my first time visiting the Buckhorn I give it a 10/10! 😁

Service was denied to an expat family, but later was seen a couple being served without any issues. If you want to be in a place with good service, this is definitely not the place to go.

I always find it strange when you need to review a cafe separately from the Saloon and Museum it's in, but given that's how this is set up I feel it's necessary to write that the 'Average' rating applies only to the Cafe while the museum itself is excellent. Why? Because the Buckhorn isn't really doing anything special with a space that could be a primo spot for a truly extended experience. You are sitting where Theodore Roosevelt, future President of the United States, sat and chummed with his riding buddies. Why aren't there replica horn chairs (make them out of plastic or painted wood) that give a truly unique flair to this cafe? Why is the seating arranged like you're in a cafeteria? The food is...meh...like eating from a cheaper version of Chili's or Dave and Busters. The bar has a good mix of local drinks though and the bartenders are typically knowledgeable about what fits your pallet. The cafe isn't bad, it isn't great. If you are interested in touring the museum with your kids and you want to know you've got a place to eat at that is accessible and cost effective, this cafe fits the bill. It just isn't a destination.

The atmosphere and history of this place is amazing! The decor is definitely picture worthy. The drinks are great! The Bloody Mary was one of the best I’ve had. Good beer selection too.

Bacon Cheeseburger Please! The burgers are awesome! We loved them. Came with fries and we ordered a side of beer cheese and it was soooooo good! Highly recommend burger and fries. I also ordered a Margarita from the bar, I actually would not recommend that. I know each bartender is different, but mine was not good.
