If you want flavor don’t go to County Line. Try Pinkerton or the Smoke Shack. The one thing nice I have to say is the meat was tender. The fried pickles are wedges and the breading is way too thick and someone needs to clean the soda fountain.

I had excellent service, the hostess and especially the server were very friendly and attentive. I ordered the turkey platter and it was excellent t. It’s probably the best turkey I had ever had at a bbq restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place for those looking for a good, reasonably priced bbq place.

Went for a birthday dinner, the waiter helped us surprise the birthday girl very discretely with an ice cream sundae. Food was decent and fairly priced. Caesar salad had a bit too much dressing for one of our party members. Overall would recommend minus the salad. Got the brisket, greens, and Mac and cheese. Bbq was good.

This was honestly one of the best places for ribs and brisket. The brisket melts in your mouth, and the BBQ has a flavor unlike anything you’ve ever tasted. If you ever thought BBQ was terrible like I did, this place will completely change your mind about Texas.

Tried 2nd cut brisket for lunch. One of the best briskets I have ever had. Highly recommend.

I’ve been craving Texas bbq as I’m from Indiana but this was definitely not it! The pulled pork sandwich was a disgrace to bbq. It looked liked it was scooped out of a food service “bucket “ and served. It was hideous. The bread basket was pretty decent was served warm but the parts around the edges was soggy from something.

This weekend my wife, daughter, and I ate here, and the experience was disappointing. The menu was unclear — we ordered grilled wings thinking they’d be plain, but they came sauced and spicy with no mention of that on the menu.

Our server, Kevin B., was rude and nonchalant from the start, which made things worse. As someone with a degree in Hospitality Leadership and years in the industry, I expected much better service, especially in a tourist environment like the San Antonio Riverwalk.

If you visit, ask questions about the menu — and if Kevin is your server, you might want to ask for someone else. Hopefully, management will address these issues to improve the overall guest experience.

We stopped for afternoon lunch and snacks. We shared the 1/2 rack of ribs, chips and queso, pepper jack cheese bites, sausage, and bread. All the food was excellent, had the right amount of spice for me, service was awesome from Manuel and the food arrived super quick. The ambience on the riverwalk was great.

Now about the bread. It is billed as famous and it lives up to the name. Don’t leave without trying it. It’s fresh, warm, and comes with honey butter.

All in all we had a great experience and will definitely come back.

Service great
Brisket must have been boiled or cooked in an oven cause it was NOT barbecued
It wasn't bad tasting meat but was not what u would expect. I did Not enjoy it
Beans out of a can
Collard greens were just right!

Pulled pork sandwich is really a liquid smoke sandwich.
Yuck

Was not worth it. Wanted to like it but looking back on it, very disappointed. Baked beans were a soup and bland, coleslaw was bland. Brisket was bland and was in dire need of bbq sauce for any flavor. Was honestly a meal I wish I stopped eating at first bite, didn’t pay for and left. I’m giving two stars because staff were friendly and my margarita was decent. I feel it’s just a tourist trap and don’t recommend

I was visiting San Antonio and decided to stop by The County Line bbq. It’s conveniently located on the riverwalk. I ordered the “lean” brisket plate with cole slaw and fries. Cole slaw was decent. Not super sweet. Fries were pretty good too. The brisket wasn’t heavily smoked or seasoned. Barely a smoke ring present on the pieces I received. I got the large portion size, so there was a decent amount of brisket on the plate. It wasn’t totally dry brisket, but could have had more moisture - yet it was tender. They cut the fat cap off, at some point before serving, which may not help the meat stay moist. Thankfully it wasn’t soaked or injected “artificially” with beef tallow like some places are doing. Just tasted less like smoked brisket and more like a pot roast, so a little disappointing. Maybe the fatty brisket is the better choice here? Service was friendly and quick, and atmosphere is decent.

A great Texan BBQ with great seating near to the river. We were here for lunch and they were as full as they could get. The service was still quick and we were in and out at our pace, which was great.
