The place is OK a little over hyped if you ask me. I’m not a food critic or chef, but there is nothing gourmet about a hotdog with nacho cheese on it, Maybe I’ll give it another try and order a different hotdog.
The Dogfather takes a unique approach to crafting hotdogs. I often drive by and finally decided to stop and give one a try. With an impressive selection to choose from, I opted for the Frito Pie Dog, which includes a 100% Angus All Beef Frank, housemade chili, queso, sour cream, jalapeños, and Fritos piled high on a grilled bun. I’ll start by saying service was outstanding. The food on the other hand was nowhere near worth the price. We paid $65 for 3 hot dogs, 3 fountain drinks, 1 chilli cheese tots, 1 jalapeño cheese tots. I don’t mind paying premium prices for good food but this let me down.
