It was a cool experience. You didn't really have to deal with anyone period and then the bartender was the coolest . The owner sitting there at the end of the bar just as cool. i'd say the atmosphere was relaxed and good prices. Mixed bag of people and music kinda like a first date

If you’re feeling hungry or just want to unwind after a long day of work, this is the place to be!!! They have so much to offer, from finger licking food to a variety of tap beers. This place is also just the place to come for a family game night or karaoke nights on Wednesday!

Pros:-Fun concept-Clean, nice dining room-Good selection of beers-Friendly Bar service-Games and Legos to entertain kids-Plenty of indoor and outdoor seatingCons:-Several tapped beers, maybe 5/30-Half of the menu was "unavailable"-Really rude kitchen service-Food was meh (burnt popcorn, cold tortillas with tacos, microwave macaroni and cheese)-No changing table

I love this place. It’s great for sampling all different beers and ciders—you pay by the fluid ounce. Try the charcuterie board, it’s surprisingly good. The patio is also really nice.

A great place to hang out under the lights outside and have a few beers. It's a pour-it-yourself beer spot with great seating outside, cool events happening all the time, board games for families or friends, and good food. Give it a try!Kid-friendliness: Plenty of board games to play and usually have a projector playing movies or games outside

This place was really cool! I wasn't sure what to expect but they had a trivia night and since we love trivia and it's not far from our house, we decided to check it out. I love that you can pour your own beers and try whatever you want! You just pay for what you take. Great for indecisive people like me who want to try all the things!I didn't try any of the food there yet, but loved the drinks and will be back for more!

One of our favorite places to chill out! The service is always top notch and the food is really good. The way it works: you get a card and insert the card into the slots above your beer selection. You pour for yourself at “da wall o’ beer,” it charges by the ounce. The food is really good and is a nice mix of bar fare and actual real food. If the soy garlic ribs are available, order them! (Sara curates a good menu.)

Very nice little places, good selection of pours but it is a revolving menu. Very affordable

My daughter took me here awhile back and I thoroughly enjoyed it. So I keep coming back as I would recommend to anyone. It's a blast being able to sample the great variety of brews they have. The Reuben sandwich will fill you up without a doubt and the taste will have you coming back for more. Burgers taste like real burgers should, we had them when they were grilling outside. Not only is the staff friendly and provide great advice on the brews, but the patrons are quite friendly and make it an enjoyable place to sit, visit, eat, and relax. Oh, and definitely sample some interesting craft brews. Plenty of inside and outside seating, so when the climate is actually nice here, you can sit outside and enjoy it! They just need a home brew root beer, for the dedicated driver to drink.

Things have changed. Shall I say desperate times cause desperate measures? --The food menu is terrible. Steak night and dill popcorn are a thing of the past. The remnants on the menu will turn the hungry monster off long enough to get to another bar with a descent menu. (I recommend LongTab if you're taking votes.)--They've since added a juke box. The music is so loud that you can hardly hear your friend across the table. Look around Dooryard, your clientele is not at the age that enjoys screaming. If you're aiming for college students, lower your prices. Then you can blare the music all you want and turn down the lights.

You know those self-service frozen yogurt places where you can get as much or as little as you want and mix them together and basically just do what you want? Now imagine that same place set up to serve BEER instead of fro-yo! The Dooryard is that place and you owe it to yourself to visit. The staff is super friendly and patient so they'll show you how to get set up. There is a slight learning curve: you have to open a tab with a credit card and then they give you a temporary "member" card that you use to activate the taps. A 45 second tutorial and you're on your way.HUGE selection of beer and you can try as little or as much as you want since you pay by the fluid ounce (kind of like how a gas pump charges you for gasoline).Find a stout that's a little too sweet? Then the next one is a little too thin? Mix them until it's just right for YOU!There's games available, good seating inside and out. I love this place and if you like beer, you're going to love it, too.

Pouring your own beer was a cool experience. Chris, the bar attendant, was nice and walked us thru the process... good variety of beer, something for any beer lover. We ordered their pretzel and was slightly sweet, hot and delicious... contactless ordering concept....the ambiance was casual. Friendly vibe... will come back...

Happy to see a pour your own beer establishment in San Antonio. They have a decent selection of variety, although I wish the common macro brew lagers were not being served here. I didnt try the food, but it looks fine.

I came for the Thursday ribeye as mentioned on the SA Current web site. I was told it's only done certain days but they were not going to tell me what days, huh? There's a great selection of self service draft beers- I sampled all the porters and dark beers, plus some lighter blondes. They were just ok, none deserving a full pour. The staff is friendly and the ambiance chill and welcoming.
