We overheard the group ahead of us being asked if they had a reservation. They said no and left. When we stepped up, we said we did not have a reservation and asked if we could sit at the bar. We went to the bar but found no open seats. Before leaving, we checked OpenTable and saw that two reservations were still available. We booked an 8:00 reservation through the app. When we returned to the host stand, the hostess accused us of “gaming the system.” She still seated us but...

Excellent spot to grab a drink and food with friends! Highly recommended for anyone looking for something on the River Walk, but not the usual tourist trap. Go! You won't regret it!

AMAZING experience!!! We only discovered The Esquire about 3 years ago, and it is our absolute favorite place to go when we're in San Antonio!!! The atmosphere is incredible!!! The food and drinks are always great!!!! The service is phenomenal!!! Don't miss your chance to check out The Esquire next time you visit San Antonio.
