This is such a fantastic little diner! Seating is retro 50's diner look and the happy hour is 3-6 on Saturday too. Highly recommend their margaritas! ❤️ I had the pastrami and Swiss but subbed out the bread for sourdough. OH SWEET JESUS it was such a big serving and definitely homemade pastrami. DELICIOUS. My ten yr old had the chicken strips and fries and he's such a picky eater. He declared it "so boss and epic" so that translates to delicious. Coming here again!!!

I've been eyeing this place for awhile and finally decided to try it. First impressions are not favorable. I couldn't help noticing how tatted-up the staff are. Maybe I'm old fashioned or just old but I don't want my bartenders and wait staff looking like they just got out of prison. I was in the mood for meatloaf but they put a tomato-based sauce or gravy on the meatloaf. WTH?! The bartender made a bizarre comment; "Hey, It's America". Well I'm an American and I want brown gravy on my meatloaf. So, I asked for brown gravy...they don't have that. I asked for Dos Equis...they don't have that either. Hey, this is San Antonio! I decided to try the pattymelt. It was mediocre at best. The sourdough bread was soft and mushy. The beer was not cold. Honestly I think the pattymelt at Whataburger is as good if not better. It's not likely I will return. I can't recommend this place unless you just like overpriced mediocre food served by people who look like they just got out of prison.
