Excellent food, ambience, prices and service. Restaurant was clean, music was pleasant & not too loud and food portions were incredible for price. Flavor was amazing, definitely will be back!

Delicious. The food was on point, although I personally did not care for the coleslaw as I'm used to a mayo based slaw. Great service and cute interior.

The food here was AMAZING! I'm traveling through San Antonio on a road trip and this place popped up on the top of the list. The Ambiance was so nice. Decorated well, the music was great and the vibe was awesome. The service was quick and they were very helpful and respectful. I really enjoyed the macaroni and cheese. This is some of the best food I've had in a while. I'm looking forward to eating here again when I come back!

Did not like. The pineapple coleslaw had no flavor, needed salt and something. The peas and rice had very little flavor. Mac and cheese was a no for me. Sautéed cabbage and carrot was awful. The jerk chicken was just tiny and burnt. The fried chicken was the best thing., so good. The fried green tomatoes were ok but nothing to write home about. They didn't have any of their special juices either. Spent $75 for 2 people to eat with the fried green tomatoes appetizer. Won't be back, quality didn't match the price.

Nasty and tasteless, don't waste your money. Underseasoned. The curry is all spice to hot to taste the food.

Over priced, proportions small. The jerk chicken had no jerk flavor. Little flavor, a lot of heat. Everything I ate was super hot.

Amazing food and the cashier was friendly and answered all the question my husband threw at her and we enjoyed all of it

Food was very good and refreshing to eat. The macaroni and cheese is probably the best I have tasted in a long time.

First time visit & we waited a few wks for the crowd to visit after the "Diners Drive-In & Dives" episode aired...that being said, overall, it was great-however, I didn't give a higher rating because they ran out of Oxtails...which was frustrating, mainly because; -They're only available on the wknd -They open at 11, we arrived at 4-sooooo, the math ain't mathing!!! *Jerk Wings-larger than avg and crispy, seasoned well & fresh -Plantains- good & not too sweet -Yams- dryer than Moms, so just OK *Jerk Chicken-Tender & full of flavor-just wish they were fresh (hot) -Mac & Cheese- It was different...but good! Nice cheese crust included, almost southern-style. -Pineapple Cole Slaw- a nice cold complimented to the plate & the pineapple was the star. -Rolls were not fresh or hot. We'll return-on the wknd & when they first open to try the oxtail.

This was one of the BEST MEALS in SA. We had the Jerk chicken and I had the Sticky Chicken. We also had the fries and they were the best fries ever so well blended and so crunchy. The fried green tomatoes were good but because they were in a cup they got a little soggy but we still ate them! Seriously everything was so good I will dream about it, until we get to go back!!!

After watching Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, we visited this local restaurant, The Jerk Shack. The food was on point. The sides are so lovely with the chicken. All the flavors were balanced. The atmosphere was relaxed and cool.Service was great! The owner and chef, Nicola Blaque, was present and did rounds, making sure everyone was pleased. She is inspirational and has done a fantastic job with bringing Caribbean flavors to SA.Highly recommend a visit!Kid-friendliness: It's a family experience for sure.

Nice eatery with more parking in the back than the front. The jerk and fried chicken were good. They didn't have any banana pudding and I was there when they opened on a Saturday. That was the only thing I was sad about because that 's why I went there yesterday. Well seasoned and full of spicier flavor. Will go again. Liked the yams as a side the best.
