The buffet food is abundant. But I felt the food was mediocre and some were cold (perhaps it needed a refill). Perhaps the meat is better, the vegetarian food is OK. There are better options nearby.
Watch out for the extra service fee for parties of 6+ even in a buffet!

The buffet food was not worth the money. The spice and the taste of the food was infact very average and just bland. On top of that they charged a 15% service charge for the buffet when it was actually all self served food. Very disappointing with the behavior of the staff. Would not recommend this place for buffet food.

First time at The Lion Indian Cuisine. I went specifically for thier dinner buffet and it was very tasty! Lots of flavor! Not a very large selection of items on the buffet list but all the essentials were there. The staff was great! Super friendly and very quick to refill your drink! The ambiance is a little weak but I was OK with it. The restaurant has a full menu to order from and it seemed to do very well with takeout orders. If you are in that area of San Antonio, I definitely recommend it for either it's lunch or dinner buffet!

This is the best Indian restaurant in town. I always come for the buffet, and it’s always delicious. I recommend it to everyone.
My favorites: the chicken tikka masala, karahi chicken, and saag paneer.
And for dessert: the kheer and mango custard.
A must in San Antonio.
