Looks like the management changed and the cook too. Poori and papad were too oily, chapathi was under cooked, idli was a like made in microwave and chutneys were tasting so average. Nothing stood out. There are many better places in San Antonio than this terrible taste and service

We were there in San Antonio for a trip. We tried dosa and Biryani. Dosa was good with 3 chutneys. The service lady was courteous and doing her best to serve, clean the tables etc. The biryani was terrible. It was spiced up with too much chilli powder, no flavour at. I may not visit again. I felt it's too pricey for that quality of food.

The name of this restaurant and taste of food doesn’t make sense. Unhygienic restaurant. Clogged washbasins with food. Employees don’t care. Tried dosa tastes terrible. I will never recommend.
Will come here every time when we come to San Antonio. This is a very good restaurant. We love it!

This place deserves a 5 star rating. We tried the Dosa on a Sunday night and all the 3 chutneys (this how I measure a South Indian restaurant) were fresh and tasty, so was the sambar that came along. Also tried the chicken 65 that was very spicy and tasty.

Finally made it out to The Madras and I'm glad I did. Had Goat Fry Biryani, Dal Tadka, and Garlic Naan. Everything was delicious and it was so much food. The two of us could not come close to finishing everything. Medium spice was spicy enough for us. The goat was tender and the rice was cooked perfectly. Dal Tadka is one of my new favorite Indian dishes. This would be a good winter meal. Garlic naan was on point. Friendly service. They gave us enough time to decide. We were too excited about the menu and couldn't decide what we wanted.. Didn't take long to get our food and everything was piping hot. Bright, spacious dining area.

We ordered only vegetarian. Food and quality of food is decent. But it took almost 35 mins to get a Biryani and a Veg Thali when they are few people dining in.

We ordered the special for the weekend (can’t remember the name) but it gave a sample of many dishes. (Pic below) The food was great and our server was very friendly!

This place was great! I ate the Naan and Paneer Tikka, which was amazing. The staff were nice and helpful. The only thing that could be improved is the surroundings - the restraunt looked a little beat up, but it's not the looks that count. Great experience overall.

I’ve dined at madras multiple times some of the items I’ve tried have been idli, masala dosa and my favorite dish is the shrimp curry the spice level is perfect and the flavors build upon each bite. I highly recommend the filter coffee!

Just placed Uber eats they didn’t even send the Sambhar or chutneys with masala dosa!Ridiculous missing order and made the other food items sweet when specifically requested spicy! Would not recommend they need to improve customer service and quality of food! Not sure about dining experience.

The food is not special and the take out is deff nothing to write home about, if you order a takeout be sure that the preparation of your order will start only when you land up to collect your order, that sucks, and who in the world serves ketchup with chinese food, this place will close down sooner than expected,

Halal South Indian authentic food. We were on long weekend trip with parents looking for some homely food and this place came close. We ordered goat fried biryani, though little spicy but with raita it was flavourful. We also ordered rasam and rice, which my kids thoroughly enjoyed. The service was top notch. The place and atmosphere is little boring, but the food makes it better. The best dish was chicken vindalo and buttermilk!

I greatly enjoyed the Chennai-style biryani, which was spicy and evoked memories of home-cooked meals.
