Home bar. Been going there since approximately 2007(?). This place has had some of the best shows I've seen, and on nights where there isn't a show, it's nice to just hang out and have a conversation with the locals. The corner patio has been and will always be one of my favorite spots in SA, as they have an outdoor speaker and even if that's not on, there's always music coming from across the street or just the sounds of humans going to and from down the St. Marys strip. I was there when the pink spiral was tinsel but loved the changes made in this last decade. My only suggestion, please update them pool sticks/hand chalk. Oh, and the bartenders are pretty hardworking homies, so tip when you do get a drink there plz! Love you Mix. And love you Blayne, always.

ANDREW, MY BROTHER, at The Mix has been the best dive bar in San antonio, since back as far as I can remember. Today, The Mix is has maintained it position as the #1 voters choice AWARD for BEST DIVE BAR in SAN ANTONIO, according to multiple publications. It's the Best: Rock BAR Punk Rock Bar Live Music (Band) Karaoke (Wednesdays with dj Eternal) & has 4 Nick Soup Art murals (Roman's & Blonde ect.
You will be surprised & think that these bartenders are just a bartenders, but no. The owners of The Mix, hire all professional bartender & waitstaff. Trust me, I think, I am the only one that knows this. I personally know each & every one of these bartenders & their previous Wine Bar & fine dining & 4 star Hotel experience because I used to visit all of them at their previous jobs. So if you think that you are just walking into a local dive bar, well you are, but don't expect to be treated like shit (JASON'S DELI) because, you will be treated like visiting a high-end establishment. It's UNPRETENTIOUS & no one cares if you walk in there & have cash or just getting off of work & can only afford one beer. They appreciate all business. You actually see A MIX of every type of personality sometimes ( I like to see the England Style PUNK ROCKER Look ) the type with the spiked Mohawk and leather with chrome spikes, because I am just a normal guy. That is enough about The Mix, there is more, but this is a free review.

I've been coming to this place for years!! So many shows and a whole heck of ALot of fun! Inside n outside hangin right on St Mary's strip! Close to a bunch of other venues and cool places to get your kicks! Lots of locals:)

Bartender with pixie cut, curly, short, blonde hair and glasses thought I was drunk and gave me someone else’s tab and claimed that because I paid using Apple Pay that they had to MAKE UP a name after ASKING ME for my last name on MY TAB moments before. Left a $0 tip cause I am not paying tips on someone else’s tab, only to find out they charged $10 extra on my credit card that is clearly under MY NAME and NOT MIKAYLA H. Only 3 bartenders were out (5/2/25) and that was 2 females and a male, I opened my tab with the male and the blonde girls excuse was that because I opened with him and paid by phone that HE made up a random name and charged me, but price on the receipt I received for MIKAYLA H. Doesn’t match what I’m charged for on my credit card.
Always a good place to jam, hang out, sing karaoke or just have a drink!

Shady! Don't use a credit card at this place. They swiped mine twice and said one charge was a hold and it would come off at midnight. Never heard of this and didn't believe the bartender but nothing I could do at that point. So as I suspected it was BS. The charge was never removed and I had to call my credit card company and dispute the charges. If you need to steal from your customers to get by your a loser and should throw in the towel now. Pathetic and shameful.

Authentically supportive place for new musicians! I left my battery charger for my GoPro there at a show and was able to pick it up weeks later 👍 everyone is always super sweet even if we look like bad guys from an '80s movie 🧛 where I go to find all my weirdest best friends
