Small bean and cheese tacos for 1.95. Not worth the price at all. The sweet tea tastes burnt. The tables are dirty. But the young waitress is sweet. The red salsa isnt very good either, watery and bland. The chips also taste bag bought. Probably won't return.
Worst potato and chorizo taco very dry
Long wait for a simple order. Place in need of a good cleaning.

Good signs. Convenient 2/10th mile from Apt. Parking space full. Restaurant crowded. Thousand Oaks Cafe is easily accessible from the street. It offers a choice of Mecican or American foods. One seats him/herself. Little mixup with menu item ordered from beginning. Waitress did not speak English. Waffle breakfast from the menu was not available. Had to ask for butter, syrup & fork. For two medium-sized pancakes, one pat of butter is insufficient. The food was good. Waitress offered a coffee refill. Price is an ongoing price for breakfast everywhere. I will return at some future date.
Old school diner with great food.
Me and my brother come in every day before we hit the grind. The staff knows our order by heart, and the food is always great. It can be a bit slow coming out, but honestly, we don’t mind—it gives us plenty of time to catch up and talk mess about whatever’s going on in our lives. It’s kind of become our little daily ritual.
20min wait on tacos today while there were barely any customers i left so couldn't judge the food
Im so missed, I just ordered a while ago, I ordered through door dash ( no car)
So I ordered the enchiladas plate with 2 ( sweet ) teas
In the special institution I specifically put
Please put onions on top of my enchiladas
And
No ice in my sweet tea
And lime not lemon if you have it.
So I pd. And did not get what I
Please keep in mind the driver is gone when I made the nasty discovery
1. No onions
2. There was ice in my sweet tea
I specifically asked them to hold back the ice,
3. ( still on the tea )
I asked for ( sweet tea)
In both teas and they were both unsweetened. ( gross ) so yes I know i can just ad sugar myself,
But they charge a lot for the tea
I should not have to go hunting for it !
Im so upset
Chess enchiladas are in my opinion boring without onions 🌰 and unsweetened tea is disgusting 🫣
But the guy is gone and they have my money
And I'm eating gross food.
I wish I could call them, but I'm at work, and from where I am, the cell phones do not pick up a signal. I did try calling but, the call never went through.
And here at this place, the tiny little packets of sugar
I will look like an idiot if I try to get enough sugar to make it somewhat drinkable!
How embarrassing for me.
I tried giving this place a chance, since it was so close by ,and left with nothing but regret ,We had waited almost a hour for 6 egg tacos, while we waited they served two other tables that arrived later than we did, there were only 3 tables filled with people the rest completely empty, the atmosphere was absolutely terrible, no music, just sitting in silence, the place looks so run down and ghetto, wooden chairs with scratches, and chipped, also the booths we were sitting in had duck tape, they seriously need to invest in a better tables ,chairs ,and a new cook. As we waited the waiter and waitress were arguing in the front, just shows me this place could not handle a rush. Then finally When the food arrived, the eggs were sloppy and watery, and portions were small almost spoon sized ,it was literal joke,on top of waiting so long they forgot my daughters order, and to top ot off their waitress can even speak basic English so communication was terrible. I was already angry from waiting so long for terrible food, more people came in ,I decided to get up and just pay for my drink and leave, never again.

They have great cheese enchiladas, rice and beans, also chili relleno and puffy tacos
Good iced tea, too
Service was perfect, and the prices were very reasonable, especially the cheese enchiladas special for $6.99!
Some of the best enchiladas and crispy tacos you can get. The big breakfast and kikis potatoes outstanding also.

Went for breakfast and has Chorizo Migas and my friend had the Fajita Omelette. It was delicious and the service was friendly. The pricing was great especially for the line of food, which is rare nowadays.

Been coming here for years but we are officially DONE with Thousand Oaks Cafe! It's a chore for them to give you CORN tortillas. About 70% of the time they give you flour when you ask for corn. About 60% of the time they get our order WRONG. After all this they raise the prices and want a tip at THE DRIVE THRU. It makes sense why they don't get as busy as they use to. Goodbye.

We drove extra to get here. I had to show my friend. This restaurant has fabulous TexMex with American cheese! The enchiladas are to die for. But we had the best puffy tacos in town! The tortilla was crispy on the outside, soft inside and was the perfect thickness. Go there!!
