Our food was exceptional at the Fair Oaks location. Service lacked a wee bit but the food was dynamite and the portions were overwhelming. If you’ve had HEB sushi (it’s mediocre by comparison) you’ll be astounded by this! We will be back. The seaweed and squid salad was probably my favorite and I wanted more!

My partner and I had a sudden craving for sushi, so we decided to try Toroko Sushi for the first time, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. We ordered Miso Soup, Spicy Tuna Tacos, Gyozas, Fatty Salmon Nigiri, Yellowtail Nigiri, and their special Mango Roll, all of which were delicious and top-notch! Our server was attentive, helpful, and friendly, and we really loved the ambiance. I also want to mention that their water was refreshing and tasty!

Based on a friend's recommendation, we tried Toroko on NW Military Hwy. I'm happy to say, we are still friends as Toroko was wonderful! With one of the most comprehensive menus I've seen, Toroko has a roll, nigiri, sashimi, and classic Japanese entree for any palate. The yellowtail was fresh, sweet, and was incorporated perfectly into the TX Roll. The chef was accommodating, and graciously agreed to add extra yellowtail and hold the salmon... great service! I highly recommend... cheers!
I believe this is the best place to get sushi in San Antonio. They have quality fish and unique rolls to go with all the traditional things that you love. Recently brought friends from out of town that couldn’t say enough about how good it was.
