Great drinks. Food was okay - little bland and haphazardly thrown on plate.Service was nice. The inside was pretty hot and Smokey - think the kitchen needs better ventilation or something. Most people at my table spent the evening rubbing their eyes .Good wine selection.

I arrived to Tre excited to try something new, I arrived to my reservation and was promptly seated by the hostess. I waited 40 minutes for my server with no one ever arriving, I signaled another server over who informed me someone would assist me shortly with not even a cup of water given in the 40 minute wait. This one star review is high praise.

Overpriced scam. After coming here I lost my love for restaurants... no joke. I used to go out to eat with my husband all the time but this put me over the edge. I just cook at home now.Come to Tre if you want to pay $40 for one entree of something basic and bland like spaghetti. I can make my own spaghetti & it's certainly not going to cost me $40 to make. In fact not even $4. And at least mine would have spices in it.

Went out with family for sisters graduation party for lunch just for our waiter to be extremely rude to my grandma shushing her in a “polite” manner when trying to speak. Me and my family waited for an hour and a half for part cold and warm food as if it was microwaved. It was an absolute waste of time and disgusted me to never want to go there again

Went for my 6 month anniversary with my wife. This place was super nice and super romantic,We loved the food, the prices were on point. All of the wait staff seemed to be on point but ours sadly ? benefit of the doubt she may have had an off day but it took us a bit out of the experienceHOWEVER we got brought back when the manager greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed and that we were taken care of.Despite our waitress this was a 15/10 place and me and my wife will definitely be coming backDietary restrictions: They have gluten free pasta

I vacillated for some time between a 2 and 3 star review, but I finally pulled back and thought:"For an establishment which charges north of $30 a plate, there should be no question!"2 stars it is then. However, I had very high expectations and an expectation of delivery based upon the many, many positive Google reviews.Irritation set in when our Lyft driver was unable to locate the restaurant... because it is NOT ON A STREET!Nor is there parking.Instead, we found ourselves on the opposite side of a river from the restaurant and then had to walk some distance AWAY from the restaurant hoping to find a bridge to cross.Fortunately, we found one along a pleasant Riverwalk pathway, and we approached a decidedly handsome, antique brick building, with a pleasant outdoor, riverside deck. However, upon entering, confusion set in because the open kitchen splits the narrow restaurant so that for a customer to reach the dining area, they have to be guided by host BACK OUTSIDE (on a cold night) through the patio, to the dining area.I also discovered this establishment has only ONE toilet for a restaurant which in theory would be FULL outside and in!Also, one has to go outside and then inside again to use the sole toilet.Whatever.Fine dining service is a precious, fragile commodity which unfortunately died during COVID.In comparison, I get better service from a family-run, strip mall, tex-mex restaurant, even though the server is of a dubious age - than what I received at this establishment. We had to repeat our orders when the server returned to confirm and EVEN THOUGH I specifically informed the server at the beginning we required separate checks, they then provided us with a single check.Of course when they "split" the checks like they should have done when I first requested - the checks were incorrect. This was AFTER our server DISAPPEARED for so long I ran out of water and had to clear my finished plates on a nearby empty table. Now, to the food...which was pretty good - but not to the purported standards, ambience and cost.In fact, the best item was the Caesar salad.I at first enjoyed my entrée of cavatelli (creamy pistachio noodles), but by the end I found it to be too heavy and coagulated to really enjoy.I also did not taste pistachio - just heavy, cheesy noodles. The Italian Pinot noir by the glass ($14) tasted and smelled of human sweat. The ambience was pleasant, but distracting with the kitchen splitting the restaurant. This restaurant does not make the mistake of many poor fine-dining of being "pretentious."I simply believe the pieces are not "fine" and do not fashioned together well to present anything beyond a nice building, on a river in an upscale area...all of which combine to do the actual work of the restaurant.Vegetarian options: There are a FEW high-end vegetarian selections in the menu.Dietary restrictions: The menu is varied but...you know... ItalianParking: Unjustifiably unavailableKid-friendliness: This is a classy place NOT for kidsWheelchair accessibility: Roll in like ciabatta!

This 5 star rating is because of, CAYLI CAMBELL, the assistant general manager. I had an unfortunate experience and wrote about it. We told our waiter about the issue, but never heard from the manager. It left us feeling that they didn't care, which prompted me to write a review. To my surprise, the assistant general manager, Cayli Cambell, called me AND emailed me within an hour of posting the review. She reassured me that the management did indeed care A LOT and what we experienced was not up to their standards. She invited us back to make sure we would have the pleasant experience and memories that Tre Trattoria strives for. Cayli Cambell represents Tre Trattoria with the utmost care, professionalism, warmth and class. She is one in a million. We need more people like her! Tre Trattoria, you are lucky to have her! Because of her, my heart and mind have changed and I will give Tre Trattoria another chance and recommend them to others.

Wonderful Italian restaurant with an interesting menu. Ambiance was nice. Service was on point and helpful. Wine selection was nice. Enjoyed a nice pasta dish with a glass of wine. Friends enjoyed the Caesar salad and Waygu meatballs and spaghetti. Nice patio on quiet part of the riverwalk.

I had their take on a greyhound, and their market salad for lunch. The salad was strawberries on greens with vinaigrette, candied pecans and feta cheese. The salad was sizable, but a little salty. The pecans were yummy, but I could have used more strawberries. I wish the greens had been a bit fresher, as I had to pull out a few pieces that were too wilted for consumption. The cocktail was lovely, and the setting is very nice. My server was very pleasant and helpful. I would come back to try the pasta.

Had a lunch here this week. Very unique atmosphere! Sits along the beautiful River with gorgeous trees. The inside was well appointed. I felt the outdoor dining furniture was a little on the “cheap” side. Was expecting linen tables and possibly nicer flatware. Could have enjoyed some nice dining music. We had excellent service! Food was very good. Wendy took very good care of us. Also, Cris was our server and he was very attentive and took great care of us. We have a ladies who lunch group from Dallas and this was a place we would come back to. Compared to some of the other restaurants in the area my only critique is to elevate your tables a bit more. That fell very flat for our lunch group.

Our waiter straight up told us he disregarded our table because he was looking after his other tables. A different waiter came to clear our table before we were even done signing the check, while the table next to us left before us and still had cups&plates. Yall couldn’t get us out of there fast enough I guess. It was our first time here and we won’t be back, this place is just another overpriced spot in San Antonio that caters to its white clientele.

What a treat it was to dine here. a beautiful building in a fantastic location along the Riverwalk backside of the museum. Market salad was delicious. The Bolognese did not disappoint.
