Came for an early Friday dinner. It was early, so wasn't crowded at all. Gentleman working the bar was very friendly and hospitable. He did a great job explaining the menu and making some food & drink recommendations. Ordered the Zaza drinks and meat pies while looking over the menu.Everything sounded good, but finally decided on the Jollof Rice and the Efo Riro Soup. Enjoying the Meat Pies made the 10 minutes fly waiting for the main dishes. The Jollof Rice and Efo Rio Soup were both great. The Soup has a nice bit of heat but wasn't overpowering. The Pounded Yam Fufu went great with the soup. Servings were very generous.Bartender came to the table several times to make sure everything was going fine. Good food and service will definitely bring me back again.

Amazing food and drinks! Great service even though they were busy, it didn't negatively impact the service at all. And great music!

The food is amazing. I got the okra dish with chicken and pounded yam fufu. It is so good and the employees I dealt with were very kind. In addition, I arrived earlier than when my food was supposed to be ready and they brought it right out to me. I will definitely be coming back!

I've tried a number of African restaurants around here and none of them tasted as authentic as this one. This is my 2nd time coming and the grilled fish is now my favorite!!! The plantains are actually sweet and delicious. The fish is AMAZING!! It has so much flavor and the perfect amount of seasonings. I will be getting this at least once a week now lol. Service: Everyone is so friendly and attentive. Ambiance: I love the concept of indoor outdoor seating and love the events they host.

I stay in a major city that has a large population of Africans with a variety African restaurants to choose from. This place is far better than most of them hands down! I haven't tasted asun so tender and delicious! The grilled fish with plantains was seasoned so well. The food was so good, I ordered more to take home. Also the price was affordable compared to other african restaurants. Whenever I'm in San Antonio again, I'm definitely putting it on my to do list!

I normally don't do reviews but this one is a must. I ordered the grilled tilapia with plantains and a side of jollof rice and I tell you that it was so delicious. My order was a 10/10 and will definitely go back for more by the this review is coming from someone who does not eat fish outside her home.

The food is a hit or miss. When they first opened the food was great. The goat meat was always tender and the plantains were very well cooked. Now the goat meat is usually tough and the plantain is hard and dry. The jollof rice is pretty good. I highly recommend the jollof rice but but overall the quality in the food has declined in my opinion.

I visited Trices for the first time yesterday and had to come again today because it is simply that good. All of the staff is sweet and welcoming! The jollof rice is spectacular and the okra is incredible! I truly enjoyed every bite and I will definitely be coming here frequently. My friends, including one from West African, loved all of the food as well. Bring all of your friends and family to this restaurant, everyone will be blown away! Don’t forget to thank the chef, she is so sweet!

LIES LIES LIES I repeatedly asked if the vegetable soup has meat in it. They ensured me there was no meat in the vegetable soup. Definitely meat in the Vegetable soup. The Fufu was made from a box.

It was by far the worst restaurant experience I've had in a long time. My boyfriend and I came in on a weekday for lunch; we were greeted with an empty restaurant. The hostess was very polite, and of course, we were seated right away. We both decided rather quickly on what we wanted to order; I ordered the peanut butter groundnut stew with ghana fufu and chicken. My boyfriend ordered stewed beef, coconut rice, and plantains. The food came out very quickly, and when I tell you this food was terrible! The beef my boyfriend was served was too tough. He could barely cut it. The chicken served to me in my stew, two drumsticks, was also tough and obviously old meat. We both work in the food industry and can tell when food is not fresh. I cannot believe a restaurant was confident in serving this to paying customers. We were both very excited to try some good African food and terribly let down by our experience here! Please save your money and dine elsewhere!

Trices Cafe serves amazing food and has a great atmosphere. They bring intensly delicious flavors to San Antonio. The Jollof Rice with chicken will put you in a happy food coma. The Honey beans were a tasty journey into new-to-us flavours. The staff were all very kind, and the bartenders know what they're doing.
