Wow!! Had the asada mini tacos and they blew my mind!! Was incredibly flavorful!! The mild avocado based salsa was also amazing!! This place is inside the Rolling Oaks Mall but do not sleep on this place!!! Others had different dishes but everyone loved everything!! Worth the money and more!

I can't overstate how incredible the tacos are here. Some of the best I've had! The salsas were flavorful and spicy and perfectly complimented the food. I highly recommend giving this place a try, we are going to be regulars for sure!!

Everything was excellent! The service was great. Even though the temperature was cold cold, The ambiance was nice, warm and inviting. Great hot sauce! Excellent street tacos and the corn in a cup was delicious. Thanks to everyone. And to the owner, thanks for your military service.

10/10 RECOMMEND! ? Rolling Oaks Mall needed something different & this is IT.My food is always HOT since it’s made fresh to order! Tortillas have the perfect crispiness on the outside! Their salsas are bomb & homemade! The meat is always juicy & flavorful! Love love love Tru Taste.

Number 1- tacos made by scratch to profection.. the taste of the taco will just bust with excitement when taking a bite into it.

I absolutely love this place! The absolute best tacos I’ve ever had! The flavor of the tacos and the fact that they don’t hold back on the meats and toppings! I definitely recommend this place 100%, the quesadillas are like no other!!!!!

Came here for their grand opening on a Saturday afternoon. It was crowded, but they did a great job of moving people through the line and clearing the tables. Since they are new, I wanted to support them and tried many different items. Ordered Pastor and Asada mini-tacos, Pastor and Asada Quesadillas, corn in a cup, margarita, and the Aguas Frescas in a can.Food was ready within 15 minutes and looked great. Everything tasted amazing that were full of fresh ingredients. Quesadillas and tacos both had a perfect crisp on the outside. I usually don't order Quesadillas when going out, but these tasted like no other. Tacos were just as good that came 5 to an order that were topped with onions, cheese, and cilantro. Both the Al Pastor and Asada meats were very juicy and flavorful that tasted great in both the tacos and quesadillas.Highly recommend coming here for both the great food and customer service. Owners stopped by to make sure food tasted great and if we needed anything else. Will definitely come back to try some more menu items.

Tru Taste of Texas is AMAZING! I had the (4) asada mini tacos that came topped with grilled onions, cilantro, sour cream, and queso fresco. The tacos came with a side of charro beans which were perfectly spicy. Everything was made fresh to order! 10/10 highly recommend.In addition to the amazing food, they have customer seating inside where you can enjoy your tacos. I absolutely love the vibe there is music playing constantly and they also have two huge TVs that are playing sports games. This is hands down the best place to go for mini tacos.

Veteran owned, the tacos were a taste of home and the corn cup was perfect portion and price. The beans were a sure hit! Thank you Tru Taste if Texas for excellent flavor and price and a welcoming atmosphere.

I’m glad we stopped to try this place because the tacos were great! Some of the best around. Charros were bland yet somehow very spicy. Custom service was lacking. After she took our order she was just looking at nails on her phone the whole time we were there.

Hands down some of the BEST tacos I’ve had in SA!! Tru Taste definitely uses the BEST quality ingredients. I love when I’m able to have my lunch here, really feels like lunch with family. If you’re looking for good food and good people, Tru Taste is the spot!
