So, my nephew has a tomato allergy so he asked for a plain and dry burger which it had everything on it, so we asked to send it back for a new one, not mentioning the allergy because we didn’t feel like we had to. The food was sent back and we received it a minute later with everything removed and the waitress told us she had gotten a new one.. it was really obvious when he took a bite that it was the same one, and he reacted and barely ate his food. Poor guy even made the family come there for this injustice. His body begun to itch and he currently has hives on him. They obviously just scraped off everything and brought it back and the waitress said they made him a new one which he could still taste it immediately. Aside from that she was really nice but disappointed we were lied to

We had come from the Pearl because there was either a 1hr wait or the menu was limited and pricey. With 5 people all wanting something different was also a factor. We decided to try Tycoon Flats because of the positive reviews. All of us enjoyed our menu picks. Not only was the food good the portions were generous, except for the appetizer mushrooms. I recommend increasing the price in order to provide a larger portion. They were delicious and we were left wanting more. Next time we will consider ordering 2x mushrooms. Our waitress was pleasant and accommodating coupled with a great personality. Everyone in our party agreed this will be our regular go to before going to The Pearl or downtown events. The cocktails were also on point.

Food was great, service was excellent. Weather was chilly, so that was a factor as only seating is outside-ish.

One of my favorite restaurants in SA! Absolutely recommend the pineapple bacon burger with some fried pickles. Tiger ranch on the side is great too. I typically sit outside since most of the seating is covered. I typically come here for large parties. A must if you like intense burgers!

I usually love this place to enjoy a burger but my server ruined the experience. As soon as I come into the establishment to sit inside she asks me all rudely “are you here for ToGo” and I said no im dining in and she rolls her eyes at me as she sweeps . I tell her I need a WELL DONE burger because I am pregnant and she serves me a burger that’s medium well and didn’t write down my order on a pad to get exactly what I was asking for. I ask her if the burger was well done but she tells me “it’s forsure cooked over medium well” and insists that it will be okay knowing im pregnant . As I eat the burger it squeezes out red juice and I go to the cook to request a new burger . The server comes back to my table all rudely and says “I asked if you wanted me to fix it “ and I told her no you insisted it was okay and then she asks me condescendingly if I want to send it back . Quickly after that encounter she brings me the receipt to pay out when I did not ask for the receipt yet . Rude service can turn a good establishment sour really fast . I believe her name was Shanon ? Not sure but was a female with tattoos on both arms . Terrible service ruined my dinner .

Tycoon Flats never, ever disappoints! Food was fresh & flavorful. Customer service was amazing!! Lamar took my order over the phone & he was a total sweetheart. Order was made promptly. Highly recommended dining in too.

We tried the fried avocado burger and the bacon balsamic bleu. While the burger patties did not have a lot of flavor considering how much of the burger they took up, the other flavors really were not allowed to take the stage as the burger was so dry. I would recommend the fried avocado of the two even though it did not project as much flavor as I would have liked, you could get past the patty. The balsamic had amazing flavor as well, but again the flavors were lost in the dryness of the patty. The fried mushrooms are something to write home about and the tater tots were great. The staff was super accommodating to our alcoholic and non-alcoholic needs.

I have been on vacation all week and I had Tycoon Flats on my to do list. I had only been there one other time and I love the food so much the first time I’m thinking I wanna go back. I went back today and as you walk in the sign says seat yourself, which I did. I took a seat at a table near the bar, and I saw there was a host and there was one server and they’re going back-and-forth it wasn’t too busy. I sat there for a little bit and finally I got up. I went up to the host stand and I asked the host, am I supposed to order from you or how does this work? This is my first time here. I lied. The host looked at me like I had just appeared out of nowhere. He asked how many, I said just one. I ordered my michelada from him and almost place my order but he said the server would take my order. So I enjoyed the food and when it came time to pay, I called my server over and asked for a box and the check. She brought her POS machine and left. She was going back and forth so I took it upon myself to process my own payment, smh! Other than the delay in taking my order and paying, everything was great. I would have spent more money had I not been ignored.
