I just need to get this off my chest my son has been with Uhs since he was about maybe 2 and it use to feel great like they actually cared the comprehensive clinic takes on to many patients that they don’t remember half the things they tell you I have come with concerns more than a handful of times and they try to act like they aren’t aware or like they don’t know what going on treat me like I’m brand new then later act like they have tried everything and suggest things I have suggested 6 or 7 visits ago I’m not a doctor and I feel like it’s all about money now the floor staff people are lazy ,rude, unhelpful they get payed and trained to work instead they come and take a temp and leave o been here 6dqys they haven’t offered to bathe my son not even a bed bath I do they don’t come in I t time for the deeds I do it on my own and they don’t check diapers some of us moms come in tired from already doing 24 hour care with our special needs kids that we are tired u. Any even sleep or be comfortable because they don’t turn off machines they hardly check in the patients so if there not doing there job what are they doing I’m doing it they are getting payed to be sitting and gossiping at the nurses stations instead of actually working I have gotten 2 great nurses the time I been here and one tech but at that I can’t imagine leaving my son here alone going to school or work or home to change it’s crazy insurance puts money in there pockets for what I don’t understand what the medical field has come too it hasn’t always been this way but last 2years I been unhappy with Uhs!!!

Staff was really nasty, and not professional at all. Coffee was terrible, this was at the Cafe on 1st floor

This medical facility requires significant improvements, but by continuously recruiting outstanding nurses such as Kristin Creamon, they have the potential to become the leading healthcare provider in San Antonio.

This is not a Cafeteria in the classical sense. This is a Food Court with a centralized payment location. There are approximately 6 distinct “shops” selling specific styles of food and then in the general areas are prepackaged snacks and drinks. My review is not focused on the actions of any single employee but on my experiences with all of the shops I have visited across multiple days.Unfortunately as is typical with many commercial spaces, they have contracted with a single food service provider, Luby’s Culinary. Easier for the hospital to manage a single contract this way. This means no competition and low bars for service and quality. It seems like every single product is a 50/50 hit or miss chance of being correctly hot or cold. Grabbing anything premade and paying for it isn’t exactly intuitive at first. The staff have difficulties getting your order correct so speak loudly, clearly, slowly and review your order receipt before you walk down the line.

Why did we not get dinner on 11/20/2022?

Hours listed need updating across the board. Website, sign outside the cafeteria, and Google maps info for starters. Walked in expecting dinner and only the grill was open? Always like the food from here, good selection and variety so not subtracting for hours! Customer service excellent! Please please please update the hours :)

*Long Review*Barbara the cashier was nice enough and let me know where the napkins are. They're on a table against the back wall for now if you ever visit. The employees that made my 6" bbq chicken sub were quick, friendly and accurate. The chicken was tough and chewy but the wheat bread was good, It tasted fresh. I guess if you work there or are a regular visitor you know what to order. My Partner and I have been here a few times over the years to visit family members. Today my Partner is having surgery and for a change of scenery from the waiting room thought I'd check it out since it's been a while. They have cold and hot options plus a microwave you can use if needed. It's not the best but not the worst. It beats having to take the shuttle back to your car and going to get something to eat, finding a parking space again and take the shuttle back.*Update*On 2.8.22 My Partner had surgery and I was there for 12 hours when I was informed that they would stay overnight. Anyway, around 6:30 p.m. I was a little hungry and I had to go back to Sky cafe because the cafeteria was closed. This time it was a pleasant experience maybe because I wasn't ordering coffee that I didn't know they were out of. Everyone was nice and that was a relief because it was a long and stressful day. The food from Luby Culinary Services wasn't great but it was good enough.UHS cafeteria on the 3rd floor is much better than Sky cafe on the 1st floor to me. When I have to be at UHS I always try and cheer myself up by stopping at Sky cafe. They were out of the pistachio latte. Last time I was here was mid November. They were out the pumpkin cream cold brew. The specialty drinks are advertised but they never have them when I've tried to order one. I guess they must be really popular and sell out quick. If possible, it would be helpful if they could let people know what they're out of so you can know what to order. I asked what they had available in a frappuccino. Anthony said they had a Vanilla bean. I never tried it so I thought I'd give it a shot. It's not for me but worth trying once I guess. After multiple visits to Sky cafe after Partner's Dr visits, I think this place just isn't for me, has bad vibes. I'm sure the employees and other people who regularly visit UHS enjoy it.

So many options, from custom order omelettes & breakfast tacos with your choice of fillings. To oatmeal & breakfast sandwiches to a hot food & sandwich stations at lunch. Plenty of options for any budget. One last thing you need to worry about when visiting a hospitalized loved one.

So many options. Fresh, and hot food. I enjoy this place to eat more than the first floor cafe. This main cafeteria is on the 3rd floor.
