The experience would have been great if I didn’t get a ticket in the mail a month later saying the valet parked my car illegally. I am still working with the restaurant to resolve this issue with little success.Parking: They will park you illegally and then you will get a ticket for $35 a month later.

So beautiful, SO BEAUTIFUL, top notch service from the moment you enter.But why was the food just not good… Please hire a new chef I really want to come back.We had carpaccio- it was ok but the mayo dressing is not the way to go Caesar- I liked it though less dressing is better + would skip the roe next timeCowboy Ribeye- never seen a thinner cut of ribeyeDover sole- the fish was so old I could barely stomach one bite (it smelled) plus it felt like it was encrusted with salt?Mashed potatoes- delicious ?

So very good! I have been to Upscale 4 times now and have loved it every time. The service is impeccable and the food is excellent. You have to try the Dover Sole. All of the pastas are great but the Lobster is the best and octopus is delicious.

Upscale was delicious. Our first experience here and we were impressed. Chelsea was very friendly and had great suggestions. We had a steak, oysters, lobster linguine and sides. All were well seasoned and cooked well. Cocktails were great as well. We will definitely be back!

Visiting from Austin and I can say I’ve not seen such an ambiance in San Antonio’s dining scene before where the food matched the vibe. Stunning place with food that was seasoned to taste. Delicious espresso martini! I love that the artichoke appetizer wasn’t more work for me to cut and was already presented as such to eat.My new favorite gem to dine at again while visiting next time.

We waited , and waited for our reserved table at least 10 minutes until the hostess greeted us at the empty restaurant. Negative's - food was not flavorful, wait time for the reservation Positive's - the bartender who greeted us and thanked us. Our server was very friendly Thank you bartender and server for being professional.

After our third visit to this restaurant, we've decided not to return again. The quality of the food is fantastic, but we were disappointed in the declining service and ambience. Previously I would share the sole with sides and the fish was de-boned at the table. Now, the presentation of it falls flat with a smaller portion not justifying the price reduction, albeit with the same nice flavor. We had also ordered a bottle of white wine which we would have preferred to sit next to the table in an ice bucket instead of having to catch the eye of our already busy server to bring out the bottle each time we needed a refill. Next time we'll just go to Eddie V's if we want to have some sole.

I thoroughly researched where to take my sister for a celebratory dinner for her graduation with a PhD. Up Scale was perfect and amazing. We received a personalized menu congratulating her with her earned credentials! Conner our server was professional and so sweet. We chose the restaurant week Prix fixe menu (scallops with risotto and lamb chops) and the food was perfection. Up Scale is definitely one of my top restaurants of all time.

Terrible service. Food was amazing, it did take a very long time to arrive after we ordered though. We were sat in back all alone, only servers going back there to place orders. Our server Chelsea was very neglectful. We were offered complimentary champagne upon arrival but we had to flag someone down just to order more drinks and our water was never refilled. When our food arrived we had no drinks/water and our server didn't check on us until we were finished eating. Only time she came back to the table quickly was when we asked for the check.

It is a nice place and great vibe. Unfortunately they have changed the menu and took off the best steak ever eaten! Total bummer!! Kenny- our waiter- went above and beyond with excellent service

Our second time at Up Scale. This visit the food seemed off. First time is much better. I think the dark bathrooms are gross. But apparently Emily likes them, as she has the same bathroom theme at 1900 as well.

Reservation was for 8pm, we were seated just before 8pm. We order around 8:30 and our dinner was served at 10:40pm.The waiter was awful at checking up on us and when he did, he would say food is being worked on, food is being prepared, your table is next in line in the kitchen. The manager apologized and compensated the food saying the restaurant was having a "busy night". Understood it's NYE, but again the restaurant was not visibly that busy and I find it rude to lie to the customers that food is being prepared. Be honest with your customers as they sit down or order that the kitchen is 2 hours behind so you know what you're in for.There were 3 parties of 2 sitting nearby our table that also waited a very long time and were visibly as upset as we were, 1 party even walked out on their tab.Considering we were seated on time and the restaurant did not seem overly busy and it's not a large restaurant, 2 hours waiting for food when there's only 8 main entrees on the menu is CRAZY.I would also like to note the owners arrived at the restaurant around 10pm or so and idk about y'all but if my restaurant was "busy" and having a bad night, I would be personally apologizing to each table and thanking them for waiting.... Instead of enjoying cocktails at the bar.

We came in for New Years Eve as a late reservation. Chelsea explained to us that the kitchen was backed up and it was going to be a wait for food and drink. Regardless of the busyness of New Years and the delays the food and service were incredible. every plate we got was delicious, the wine and champagne paired well with our meal. Chelsea knocked it out of the park going above and beyond, making our experience incredibly memorable and unique.At the end of our meal we toasted with the restaurant(They provided every guest with a glass of a great prosecco for the midnight toast) watching the fireworks outside. For us wanting to do something a bit more relaxing and low key, our experience at Upscale is one to be remembered in the fondest of ways.13/10 would recommend!
