Good was really really tasty. Seems like a man average Mexican restaurant but the taste of the food was far superior. Servers were busy but efficient and friendly. We ordered the Traditional enchilada panted and the El Pasture quesadillas both hot and flavorful. Would recommend and return.

I haven’t had the opportunity to dine-in yet, but I’m definitely looking forward to bringing family guests here for the full experience after the two fabulous to-go experiences I had. Relative to other famous Mexican food places in the San Antonio area with the same general price range, I think they are my top choice thus far for delicious, quality dishes that are very generous and well-made. I think Paloma offers a much better value and taste if you’re going to spend $12-18 on entrees. If their in-house experience is great, I can definitely see this becoming my “it” place for Mexican dining. This time I ordered their Enchiladas Verdes and their Beef Enchiladas. Both of them had perfectly flavorful sauces with all the layers of flavor that Mexican homemade Enchilada sauces should have. The enchiladas were huge and packed with meat. The verde sauce hit all the flavor profiles: tangy tomatillo, flavorful jalapeño, and savory base. I am often surprised how most higher end Mexican places have very mediocre one-dimensional verde sauce, almost jarred tasting. When I make verde from scratch I always enjoy it more for this reason, but Paloma’s version really gave me that loving homemade fix without all the kitchen work! My only note was that the shredded chicken filling was a little dry. This happens a lot when I try chicken enchiladas out (no matter how expensive) and I remedy this at home by mixing in the gelatinous juices from roasting the bone-in chicken when I go to shred it for filling. I do wish every place did this because it totally fixes the dryness white meat fillings can have. But it was by no means a hindrance to me enjoying them. And, again, way better than most other “famous” places! The beef filling was very flavorful and not greasy, and the gravy was dark, rich and perfectly spiced. I had that heavenly first-bite experience with both of these dishes. Their Spanish Rice was moist and well-seasoned without being overly salty as it can be at a lot of places. I was surprised by how much food they gave me for a $12 and $17 entree. An overflowing portion of two giant enchiladas in each box. A huge wad of homemade corn tortillas. A 1/2 cup of guacamole and two 4oz roasted salsas with ample bag of homemade chips (enough for 3 people, I’d say). And of course the rice and two 8oz Borracho beans. Go here to make your dollar count! With a to-go fee less than .75 cents, really kind and quick phone service, and professional prompt curbside service with designated covered parking on a quiet street…it really is a no-brainer place to spend your time and dime when you’re craving that *true* Mexican food fix. I also appreciate that their menu includes designations for gluten-free, paleo, and vegetarian entrees and sides. Their food is fresh and colorful and you can taste the use of the herbs, aromatics, spices and vegetables in their recipes. *This* is how Mexican and Tex-Mex should be, in my opinion. And a place that maintains a food-centered focus no matter how popular they get is definitely to be appreciated nowadays. I’m looking forward to trying things that I reserve for restaurants that have “the whole package”: homemade traditional flan, mole, fajitas, chili relleno. I have a feeling the pictures of those I see will not lie, just like my to-go orders have looked as great as they actually taste.

We have been going to Paloma Blanca Mexican Cuisine for years and have loved the food and the service. That was the past. After our meal today, I can no longer hold back. And the worn out Covid excuse shouldn't have anything to do with it. We had a reservation and were seated today by 10:30am. Got chips and salsa pretty quickly....the only positive note. We waited and waited for someone to come to our table, and we waited and waited some more. Other tables around us that were seated after us were getting waited on. Finally we went to the hostess table and asked if someone could come serve us. Finally a waitress came and took our drink order and we ordered our appetizer as well as our entrees since we had already wasted so much time waiting. Our Queso Fundido came, but no plates. So the queso cooled until someone could bring us plates. The server said he'd bring us chips, but they never came. IMO, the Queso Fundido was a waste of money. A blob of cheese with tiny bits of poblano and a lot of grease. Didn't see actual pieces of chorizo or tomatoes, in addition, it cooled off before we could really try to enjoy it. One of my party ordered chilaquiles, which he enjoyed. The other person in our party ordered the steak and chilaquiles, which he also enjoyed. I ordered flautas, which I have ordered and eaten all over San Antonio. My mistake to not have paid attention that the "crispy" flautas are covered with lettuce and a mixture of crema and quacamole. I enjoy keeping the flautas separate from any topping until I am ready to combine it because the crispy shell gets soggy and the chilled mixture cools down the flautas, which are then cold. Had to ask for tortillas to go with the plates since our waitress didn't ask if we wanted any. Once again, the service was abysmal. We received one small glass of tea, but no server in sight to refill. Had to go to the hostess desk again to ask for refills. There were plenty of waitstaff hanging around so not sure what the excuse was for having to wait so long for attention at our table. I saw many other tables with empty glasses that were not being refilled. I am very disappointed in the service - so much so that I will never again go back. This was also an issue on our previous visit although not as bad. I will take my business to another well-known Mexican restaurant that has excellent service and excellent food. No more tries for Paloma Blanca for me.

Had a late lunch with family after a weekday burial service at the Fort Sam. After only a few minutes, our group of eleven was seated, and the waiters promptly came to take drink orders and serve chips and salsa. Our drinks were promptly served and we ordered two table side guacamoles. Once the guacamole arrived, our lunch orders were taken and we were told they would bring both corn and flour tortillas for the table. We enjoyed visiting and catching up while we waited for our meals to be prepared. A while later, plates started arriving. With the exception of two, everyone was served. There was no waiter in sight for quite a while so we couldn’t inquire about the two remaining plates. Most of the group started eating so that their food wouldn’t get cold. It took a good while, but a waiter finally appeared to deliver the last two plates and asked if we wanted tortillas. While most of the table was halfway done with their meals, we accepted the offer and asked for flour and corn. Despite the gap between meals being delivered, the overall experience was positive. The food was delicious and we were grateful for a comfortable place to connect on such a somber occasion. I enjoyed the Pozole soup and green enchilada lunch. The Pozole was so good, I’ll go for a large bowl next time!

I'm new to San Antonio and have been told that Paloma is a quality establishment (newly resettled from Dubai and UK/EU). in the year that I have resided in Alamo Heights, I've visited Paloma three times. honestly the food and service are quite average, nothing as they say "to write home about". everything from the mole, to beans, to rice, to tacos - everything - is only ordinary. again - there is nothing wrong with this. the meal was satisfactory. would I visit again....yes of course. I like the location and design/ambiance.

Good food and atmosphere. Service was average if a little slow and the waiter seemed to be trying to push the margaritas. We had the "enchiladas sanmiguel and enchiladas verdes" both were very good but not outstanding.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. The table side guacamole was very good as well as our dishes. The mango margarita was really good and strong. We went for brunch because the nights we wanted to go were full with no availability to reserve a table. Graduation was going on and they had booked tables with 2 hour wait times.

I have been going to this restaurant for over 15 years and have taken all my house guests to this watering hole. I don't know why but the last three times I have been there the service has been terrible. From the front desk to the servers all you will do is wait. The servers have too many tables so everyone suffers. I suspect it is because they can't get enough help and wish they would only let in the amount of people they could serve. I am taking this one off the "must visit" list for the time being. If you go expect a 2 hour wait and poor service. Oh yeah and the Margaritas are no longer the best in SA

The margaritas seemed to be "watered" down--not the normal strength. The chips were thick and not good to eat. The food came out cold and totally covered with sauce--not good--sent it back and still cold!! Will not go back!!

The food and margaritas were very good. It is rather over priced, but the atmosphere is nice and we will probably go back. Maybe they have a happy hour.

Our family of 6 (2 adults, 2 teens, 2 kids) had a late lunch here. Decent place, fairly authentic (as opposed to chains) but overpriced for what it was. A little more upscale for a kid that just wants a basic taco or enchilada. Be mindful, they have small water glasses. :)

We went to Paloma Blanca for the first time and we will definitely go there again. The food is top quality and I was pleased with the prices. The tables are far apart and we felt safe to eat indoors. The staff is friendly.

The food is terrific and in-restaurant service great. But ***do not use online delivery*** Chow Now, which provided PB with online delivery service arrangements, used Door Dash to arrange our delivery. Our food never showed up and I spent an hour total on hold with two hangry children between PB’s manager, who was apologetic but unable to fix the problem and Door Dash. We’ll be sticking to pickup only moving forward. Even though the restaurant confirmed the order was cancelled, my AmEx still shows charges pending, which probably means more wait times tomorrow ?. Booo!

We had a birthday celebration here for dinner. The food was good slightly over priced but decent. The wait staff was good but it took awhile to bring drinks. They do strongly enforce the mask policy. If you get up to use the restroom , you must put your mask back on. Enchilada Dimas were very good.

Drove here to escape the Saturday Riverwalk crowds. We called ahead and were told it was a 20 minute wait. When we arrived, the wait was 35 minutes, but it ended up being 10. We sat on the patio. Really nice, relaxing patio! Table side quac was great along with the mole enchiladas (not too sweet, how I like it). Hubby had the Relleno with cilantro sauce. That was the best meal out of the four of us! We were rushing to eat because we were seated 20 minutes before closing and felt bad keeping the staff past hours. They were super fast with our order and friendly throughout. I would come back for the mole and cilantro sauce.
