The bartenders really do care about the well-being of patrons here and I think that's remarkable. He kept checking on our friend (we'll just say she was having a LOT of fun) and making sure she was ok. Good thing she wasn't driving that night! Having water readily available to drink helped also. Cozy, have local bands sometimes, host a variety of events, right on the river walk, sometimes hosts a food truck outside, decent selection of alcohol even for those allergic to gluten.

Ventura has been making it's name by providing a platform for up & coming artists of all genres. Although it has live music, it's not packed with drunk 21 year olds filling the whole bar. Older people can go & not feel out of place at all. And with the music, you'll come away loving a new band or two! Oh and it also has a great patio out back right on the Riverwalk. If the music gets too loud, there are tables back there to sit & enjoy the night.
