Full size Guinness glasses. Want to mention this up front. Was at another Irish pub in SA and quickly realized their glassware was only a 12oz baby pint. Sat at the bar and received fast and friendly service.

Just terrible…..food came out ice cold, the beef stew didn’t have a single piece of meat in it and the best the waiter could do was offer a 30% discount which even then, was a fight to get. Do not recommend, do not spend your money here.

Beer served in a cracked glass. Men’s restroom was disgustingly dirty. Charged extra for using credit card. Patio smelled like a sewer. Wouldn’t recommend.

Awesome bar along the Riverwalk that is sure to entertain. Ran into some outta towners there and had a blast gettin to know them and giving them recommendations on what they should see while they were here in SA. I'd go back here for sure, live music was pretty great too!

The food here was authentic UK food and the portions were generous. Real banger sausages. Even the sides tasted fresh/ home made. Our server Jacqueline took good care of us.

My girlfriend and me came to san antonio for vacation from michigan to celebrate her birthday, in the process it was also our 2 year anniversarry and we got engaged. Waxys become our nightly go to spo. loved the food,atmosphere and our service was incredible. Jacquline was our server and she was nothing short of a miracle. She was actually involved in giving me advice on where to propose and we made sure to come back the next night to show her the ring. Wonderfull experience from waxys all around they were a big part of what made our vacation so great, we will be back! Wish all the staff we met at Waxys the best and Jacquline as well both will be missed ❤️

I ate here the first night arriving in town. I got the Reuben and a gin&tonic. The Reuben was so amazing and the handcut fries were absolutely TO DIE FOR - I really should not eat them because of my dietary restrictions, but I absolutely could not resist. The atmosphere was nice, they had a performer playing and singing the best music! I feel our service could have been a little bit better, I really wanted to get another drink, but our server visited us 3 times; once to get drink orders, once to give us drinks and take food order, and one last time to give us our tickets. Also their tipping suggestions at the bottom of the receipt are wrong and not in their favor.

What a rip off. They charged my wife 10 bucks for a coffee and 9 for a shot of Baileys Irish Cream... an entire bottle cost less then what she paid.

Over it was a good experience. The waiter we had was very attentive and was also the bartender, so lots of running around for him. The front host seemed a little lost when seating us, but we sat where ever we wanted. We ordered the bangers & mash which was amazing! we also got the fish and chips that were pretty good.
