This place was really good, very clean. It wasn't a diner but there's a sitting area that looks like an old school diner. The menu is pricey but you get what you pay for, because the burgers are really good along with the fries and I got a Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk shake. That milkshake was phenomenal! I loved it I wish they had bigger sizes, I want more of it. The drawback to coming here is the wait time, luckily I had an hour lunch, but yeah it does feel like a long time. I do recommend it though

Burger was OK. Hurts to even write a review on a basic burger. Literally nothing to write home about. But I will wrote about the service. I was overcharged for a combo when I ordered a side and water. And the order was messed up. When question they brought the receipt over and said I ordered no mustard that when I clearly stated no onion which was confirmed by two others in my party was not accurate. The frustrating, sad part is they took the burger back to the kitchen and scraped off the toppings from the bun and peeled off toppings from the cheese. The rest of my order got cold and I don'they brought it back out. With onions still in the burger and now all over the side of fries. Also the burger was now falling apart. And sloppily put back together. I am still in shock over this experience. You are better off going next door to Charley's or across the highway to Whataburger. Hard Pass on this place!

Not impressed. millennials that don't know how to cook , burgers were bad raw bacon in burgers .kids didn't even eat the tator tots. Chicken tenders burned cook blame on batter Nothing he can do and he touches Chickentender with out replacing it .onion rings soggy . Don't recommend. Nothing about this place Is about Wayback burgers. Sorry didn't mean to give a star .

At this location the food was not great, service was poor. I previously eat at the location In Bryan, Tx. At that location everything was great, service and the food was great. The way back at this location, on bandera. There are more locations in San Antonio and hopefully they are better. Thanks everyone who reads this. ✌️

This was our first time trying Wayback and will be our last!!We ordered through Favor for dinner. We ordered a Big Easy, 3 double bacon cheese burgers, 2 regular fry, 2 Cajun tots, 2 fried pickles, and 2 cheese curds.2 of the Double Bacon Cheeseburgers came with ABSOLUTELY NO BACON!We did not get the order of the cheese curds.We did not get one of the orders of fried pickles.My son took a couple of bites of his burger and complained it tasted funny or bad, and he threw it in the trash.My other son complained about his Cajun tots tasting like old Tony Chachere's seasoning and pickle juice and said his burger could have been better.I tried a couple of bites of my burger and fries, and it didn't taste right/ good, and I threw mine in the trash.My wife tried calling to complain but was put on hold for a while and then when she did speak to someone she was told there was no manager available and they would have to call back....This was a Tuesday evening at 6pm.Once my wife finished with her conversation, she was so upset that we had thrown out our food because of the taste and now her food was cold, she threw hers out also because she didn't want to chance her food tasting bad.The poorly prepared food, the lack of attention to detail on our order and missing items, and communication with the restaurant and management was a profound disappointment.We are still waiting for a manager to call back so we can discuss this issue and refund our meal.

I recently visited Wayback Burger and thought I’d share my mixed feelings about the experience. On the positive side, the food itself was tasty. The bacon burger had a good flavor, and the ingredients seemed fresh. However, the portion size left me wanting more, especially considering the price tag. Spending $20 for a bacon burger with a large side and a regular drink felt steep, particularly when the size didn’t quite match up to the cost. I’m usually okay with paying a premium for good food, but I expect the portion size to reflect the price, which wasn’t the case here.Additionally, the service timing and attitude were areas that could use significant improvement. I arrived 30 minutes before closing, expecting a quick grab-and-go meal. Instead, I waited 25-30 minutes for my order. During this time, I noticed the staff’s demeanor, which appeared less than enthusiastic about serving customers so close to closing time. It was disheartening to see other potential customers being turned away after 9:30 PM, despite the official closing time still being minutes away. If this is a policy, it would be beneficial for it to be clearly communicated or posted to avoid customer disappointment.While the quality of the burger was a saving grace, making this experience a 3-star one instead of lower, the overall value proposition and service left a lot to be desired. I believe that for the price paid, customers expect not only good food but also reasonable portions and welcoming service, regardless of the time they choose to dine. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I can’t wholeheartedly recommend Wayback Burger. There are likely better options available where the service and value match the quality of the food.

The burger was good and the staff was polite but we were told a 30-minute wait for our food and had to wait an hour for it. I could tell they lost our order and it was wrong when we got it.

To go food & chicken tenders were soggy with breading still doughy. Hamburgers were pink not well done as ordered. Cashier Ben emptied trash cans outside, took to dumpster &back in to restaurant bagging food and giving to customers WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS! I walked over to one of the employees & told her he was emptying trash outside area and came back in and swept and never washed hands. She addressed it with him but he had already touched trays, and bagged food. Returning tomorrow for my full refund of food I had to throw away as not fully cooked. Except fries. Talked to Maya. Never again. First time and last time visiting.
