AJ's Ranch Road Grill

I got here at the time when my food was supposed to be done which the website said. I got here and he said he didn’t know about it and he was the only one here. He quickly tried to make it as fast as possible and missed a bunch of stuff like my Cole slaw and onions. Also it took only 1 minute to make the burger so I assume it was frozen and just heated up.

AJ's is a little hole in the wall BBQ place off of ranch road 12 in San Marcos this place is really good AJ is so nice barbecue is extremely good the atmosphere it's very relaxed. All around a good vibe very clean bathrooms are clean highly recommend this place. And AJ if you're reading this congratulations on your wedding have a great honeymoon in St Croix is fantastic.

Parking: There's a lot of parking here you will not have a problem finding a place to park.

We had the lil piggy and the Philly loaded fries. Both were delicious and meat was tender and moist. Definitely was worth the stop for a quick, delicious, affordable lunch!

The loaded brisket fries were very good! They were topped off with a delicious bbq sauce and spicy mayo that tasted great. 10/10 recommend!

first time stopping in. went for breakfast (wanted tacos) but they had no tacos. was told only kolaches. got 2, one sausage the other brisket/egg. both had hardly any meat it was mainly bread. brisket was dry and not edible. $8 went into the trash. honestly was hoping for a better experience.

I ordered a sliced beef brisket sandwich & the beef was sliced almost as thin as toilet paper. It was very tough & it was like chewing on leather. I'll definitely stick with San Marcos BBQ from now on where the brisket is sliced much thicker & is very tender.

This is absolutely the worst fruit. I have been served in the four years I’ve been in San Marcos. I came to San Marcos to open my own business and prove that my products is superior to others in my field!This was absolute garbage. I took one bite and there was an incredible amount of grease in what was supposed to be sliced brisket, but was not. It took 20 minutes to make a simple sandwich and it was disgusting. I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. Definitely try the Sliders or the Texas Philly. They're definitely a mom and pop resturant so they're out of things from time to time which could be improved. Staff is very friendly and attentive.
