Good sandwich but I feel pressured to tip cuz they actually ask everytime. Pay your workers and don’t ask if you want to tip. I know it made everyone in my party uncomfortable because we all mentioned it when we got our food. Also I’ve been to other locations and they put alot more meat. This location put one single piece of Meat it appears instead of stacking meat up check photos of other locations.

Great sandwiches and great service. My only gripe about this place is the prices. While the sandwiches are spectacular, they aren’t made with anything super fancy. General stuff you can find at any grocery store for not that much. The real star of the show is the bread (which i believe is homemade). The prices for the sandwiches are way more than i’d like to pay for what they are. Desserts are also apparently store bought and quite pricey as well. For the prices they’re charging for the sandwhich alone, they could at the very least throw in the chips as well. Will come back but sparingly and not as often as i’d like since I can’t afford to drop this much money on a sandwhich.

We use to have an Alvin Ord's In Belton Texas. But sadly they closed. My son is living in San Marcos right now and He called and said he found the restaurant there. So on my next visit, we absolutely went to Alvin Ord's for lunch, and have a couple times since when I go to visit. The sandwiches are amazing, the bread is out of this world fresh.

Love this old school sandwich shop. It may sometimes take a little more time than you expect but it’s worth it to be patient. Cream cheese stuffed jalapeño 😍
The food was good as usual but they need to hire people that work there for more than the “vibes” and hire people that actually work. Everyone seems to have a brain fog that causes an unneeded bottle neck in getting the food out. As a San Marcos native I hope this constructive criticism can be put to good use.
