This bar kicked us out cause they thought we were to drunk even though i wasn't drunk and my friend didn't drink at all and the bouncer didn't have a uniform on so we were confused when we were kicked out as well. There phone number is also wrong so you can't even contact the manager

the sober guys in our group are denied with no explanation other than “it’s just something about you” BUT when drunk girls walk in it’s free game. There needs to be new staff, other reviews can account for that. We have been going to this bar for a while and this guy is always on a high horse to everyone except drunk girls. half the time he won’t even look at the ID. I pity the people who work with this guy and the poor women who he is probably preying on.

Just stay away from this place! I was removed for simply no reasons and I felt threatened. It was an horrible experience for somebody who just moved to this area and I do not want anybody else to experience this. There are many other great bars in San Marcos to go!

Seems like multiple people having the same problem as us.
Hadn’t had a single drink and was denied entry for no reason.
Get some new staff.

Literally the worst place to go to. I walked in after work, haven’t had a single drink and before I was able to order the bartender said I was too drunk and he was not going to serve me. There was also 10 other people that he kicked out at the same time.
Absolutely the worst bar ever. My friend and I from Ohio wanted to play golden tee. We just flew in that that morning. Went to the bar and where denied access because we were to intoxicated. We had not had a single drink all day.
This place needs to hire new staff. Looks like regular adults are not allowed in as numerous intoxicated females where escorted to the bar for free drinks.
This was the worst Costomer service ever. We will never be back.

I tried coming in here after hanging out with the manager of THC Vape and Smoke next door. Admittedly I had some CBD prior, but the door guy told me I looked intoxicated and wouldn't let me in, even just to sit down and drink some soda before heading home.
When I thought I had lost my photo ID, I came back and waved through the door with my wallet, when I opened the door and was about to ask if they had my ID, I got cursed out and was told to close the door. There were still patrons at the bar.
The rest of the night I was an anxious mess. Even though I moved in November and still have my California ID, I've never been rejected from any Texas bars or told I was intoxicated prior.
To double check my sanity, I went over to The Vault to ask if this was normal bouncer behavior, they said it wasn't.
Good news is I took an Uber home to be safe, found my ID tucked away in a random slot on my wallet, and picked up my car the next morning. Walking past the bar, I felt very uncomfortable. Needless to say I won't be back, as I'm not welcomed there.
This wasn't my first time here either, I've been inside to play Skeeball and Pong during the late afternoon / early evening. They also once asked me to check in my bag, to which I decided not to go inside because it had expensive computer equipment I didn't want to leave out of sight.
TLDR: You likely won't feel welcomed here. I try to avoid using the word gaslit, but I felt that way with the doorman. I'm a sensitive guy who would never cause a scene at a bar.

I had a wonderful experience during daytime drinking hours. I showed up on a Saturday night and peered into the window to see if the same bartender was there. The door guys(3 of them, maybe just friends), informed me that now they couldn't let me in. That I could find somewhere else to go. Mind you I am a 47 year old, service industry professional working in Austin and had 0 drinks in me. I wanted 2 good bourbon shots. I will not be back.

The vibe is disgusting, and everyone is always judging you. Don’t waste your time here. Absolutely abhorrent behavior from the doorman/bouncer, Jyammari, who can’t even use his words. He began banging on doors and walls when turning us away for absolutely NO reason. Why would you want to go to a place that hires emotionally unstable men who are supposed to be the ones “protecting” the patrons? It left us extremely uneasy and it’s really scary and humiliating to be made a scene out of in front of a bunch of drunks. I felt crazy, but after looking at all of these reviews, it seems like these are the kind of people they want representing them. NEVER set foot in this place if you’re looking for a fun, safe space.update: After trying to get this resolved, we were gaslit, and the manager is allowing this man to continue to be a doorman. They watched the tape, laughed at us, and we were told it wasn’t him. The doorman in question, Jyammari, then texted one of the girls in the group boasting about how he didn’t get in trouble because he got his manager to believe he wasn’t doing anything wrong. We were also banned for having a valid complaint that EVERYONE in the reviews have made. Again, this is NOT a safe place, andthey hire/protect dangerous people. Go to a different bar

jyammari, the bouncer was aggressive and started punching the doors after not letting us in the bar even though we had valid identification. There was no reason to not let me and my friends in. We are all 23 years old.

My friends and I waited in line and as it was our groups turn to enter the bouncer at the door, Jyammari was very rude and aggressive to us just because he knew a girl that was apart of our group that he said he “didn’t feel like seeing inside” he was hitting the doors and threatening her and us to leave and not come back as we stood there holding our ID’s just wanting to go inside, he then called to threaten us again WHILE ON THE JOB and also mentioned he wasn’t letting in other people he didn’t like as well, we had a large group and wanted to hang out at Black Rabbit and just have a good time but because of this discrimination and aggressive behavior we no longer feel safe at this establishment.
