The vibe is disgusting, and everyone is always judging you. Don’t waste your time here. Absolutely abhorrent behavior from the doorman/bouncer, Jyammari, who can’t even use his words. He began banging on doors and walls when turning us away for absolutely NO reason. Why would you want to go to a place that hires emotionally unstable men who are supposed to be the ones “protecting” the patrons? It left us extremely uneasy and it’s really scary and humiliating to be made a scene out of in front of a bunch of drunks. I felt crazy, but after looking at all of these reviews, it seems like these are the kind of people they want representing them. NEVER set foot in this place if you’re looking for a fun, safe space.update: After trying to get this resolved, we were gaslit, and the manager is allowing this man to continue to be a doorman. They watched the tape, laughed at us, and we were told it wasn’t him. The doorman in question, Jyammari, then texted one of the girls in the group boasting about how he didn’t get in trouble because he got his manager to believe he wasn’t doing anything wrong. We were also banned for having a valid complaint that EVERYONE in the reviews have made. Again, this is NOT a safe place, andthey hire/protect dangerous people. Go to a different bar

My friends and I waited in line and as it was our groups turn to enter the bouncer at the door, Jyammari was very rude and aggressive to us just because he knew a girl that was apart of our group that he said he “didn’t feel like seeing inside” he was hitting the doors and threatening her and us to leave and not come back as we stood there holding our ID’s just wanting to go inside, he then called to threaten us again WHILE ON THE JOB and also mentioned he wasn’t letting in other people he didn’t like as well, we had a large group and wanted to hang out at Black Rabbit and just have a good time but because of this discrimination and aggressive behavior we no longer feel safe at this establishment.

Door man is a dimwit with no social skills. He’s incredibly rude and disrespectful. He denied my friends and I multiple times for no apparent reason or changing his reason when asked further. Put cameras in our face, accused and insulted us, etc. The most unprofessional doorman on the square I’ve ever encountered. Unfortunately, after YEARS of going to this cool bar, I will no longer be suggesting it to friends and family nor attending. I’m not down giving my money to people who don’t have anything better to do with their time than put other people down for their power trip.

Do not know how this establishment is since doorman refused entry since I looked “too intoxicated” when I hadn’t even had my first drink for the night yet. He didn’t even glance at my ID and pretty much refused to look at it. Seems to be a common occurrence with the doorman after looking at other reviews.

This place had a legit psychopath working the front. Racially profiled my friend after he showed two legit IDs after letting the first two of us (Caucasian) in. Literally was set on kicking him out from the start none of us were drunk. Do not go to this bar.

I have never left a Yelp review in my life but my experience here last night was absolutely pathetic. Went to the bar with some friends and after letting my two white friends in, the 'bouncer' denied me entry for giving him an out of state license (I'm from Missouri) didn't even check it with a light or anything. He then rudely asked 'How about you give me a snapchat or something' I thought he was joking and was genuinely confused. Then when I offered for him to see my military ID he called me an a**hole and told me to gtfo. When I asked for his reasoning he again called me an a**hole and said 'The fact you don't know says it all'. Me and my friends weren't being belligerent or anything of the sort, I'm not one to cry racial profiling but I genuinely cannot figure out another reason for this guy to be acting like that towards me. I get that out of state licenses have a higher chance of being fakes but I handed the guy 2 legitimate ID's. I think this job is the first position of relative power that the guy has ever had so maybe denying whoever he feels like on a whim makes him feel more like a man. Honestly don't fire the guy, keep him as a bouncer at this empty dead bar so that he doesn't go somewhere better to ruin more people's evenings

Visiting from out of town. Went in it was our first bar before experiencing the square, I went to go to the bathroom and got out before my bf. I sat next to the chair closest to the window, he was getting carried out by some randoms who weren't even off the clock. Said he was walking funny because of a limp he had from a car accident 2 years ago. Would highly not recommend for a place to go. Extremely prejudiced toward anyone who was different from San Marcos crowd. Do not give them business this is how they have treated 2 groups we want out with later. Not even checking the tab, they said we couldn't be there. Be aware of them keeping cc info to tip themselves. That's what they did as soon as we left!!

I went to get a drink with my girl. While she was in the restroom, I went to close out. While I was ordering with the bartender, he informed me he was cutting me off even though I had only ordered one drink for each of us. I had asked why and he said the way I was walking. I had foot repair surgery so I'll limp from time to time. I closed out with no tip and was waiting for my girl. While I was waiting another guy came up and said he was going to escort me out. I asked why and he said I was drunk. I told him I was waiting for my girl and he said that he was going to carry me out and I could wait for her outside. I asked him if he was even on the clock because he was drinking and he said no but he was till going to "drag me out." The bar tender came around. I called them goofy and that I hadn't done anything and they carried me out. This isn't the first time something stupid has happened at this bar. They need to hire real employees and not dumb frat kids. I used to enjoy this bar.
