Had a difficult time at Chicken Express, SM today. My wife wanted the monthly 10 piece Dark Chicken special. The young man taking my order said it would take 15 minutes to get my order. OK. 25 minutes after I ordered, a female employee said it would be 10 more minutes. Twice she offered to refund or substitute the order. 45 MINUTES after ordering, I got the order. Got home and instead of a container of potatoes, got a small and large container of white gravy. SO DISAPPOINTING. WTH???

So you’re a fast food restaurant that’s lost its mind on pricing. Chicken is one of the more inexpensive foods and you want over $60 for chicken tenders and two measly sides. It used to be half that now that’s just as much as going to a good restaurant not fast food, and the service wasn’t that great.

We requested the 15 piece strip special and it was disgusting. It was a box of old strips that were falling apart with a puddle of old grease at the bottom. They looked and tasted old. It wasn't 15 strips either. It looks like all the old chunks just thrown into a box. The fries were stale as well. It came out to over $40 and was absolutely not worth it. This usually isn't the case. But it was bad enough that we won't be back anymore.

Placed a DoorDash order on 8/25/25 at 6:50 pm for a 3 PC Dinner with fries and cole slaw also ordered 4 Apple Pies. Dasher called me after arriving at the store to inform me that they were out of Cole Slaw I agreed on okra. When Dasher delivered my order I went inside and checked my order. Chicken, okra, fries were over cooked. The pies were incorrect they were all cherry instead of apple. I contacted DoorDash and they gave me credit for the wrong items. I tried calling the store to inform them that I was not happy with the complete order. They did not answer their phone and they do not have a voicemail to leave a message. I used to like Chicken Express but the last few times I have ordered it has not been the same as it was before. I guess I will be giving the other Chicken place down the street my business.

I just went there and there was a hair in my roll and my chicken, the rolls were moldy, my chicken was overcooked, and the fries were freezer burned. I am seriously disappointed and absolutely disgusted no place should be serving food like that.

I've never been inside, but chicken is good. The sides I'll have to sa i don't like the look of them, not a fan of the white gravy, but hey, that chicken, though.

The food is good but make sure you check your order to make sure everything is there if you're getting it to go. The amount of times they've forgotten parts of my family's order is insane. It's to be expected at this point. Very frustrating to consistently drive home and not have everything there.
