Cody's Restaurant Bar & Patio

What a wonderful restaurant tucked into the Southside of San Marcos near the outlet malls. Our server, Mikey, was so kind and attentive and all of our food was amazing. We started with the SHOKUPAN (JAPANESE MILK BREAD) and the bread was superb. We also enjoyed the COCONUT PANKO FRIED SHRIMP. (Please see photos of all foods mentioned in review.) For our entrees, Robert ordered the BEEF WELLINGTON and thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered the NEW BEDFORD SEA SCALLOPS with candied bacon and jalapeños, and ya'll, it blew me away. It was so delicious! We both ordered the Creme Brulee for dessert and it was outstanding! Robert and I truly love finding hidden gems, and Cody's Restaurant and Patio is our new fav!!

Cody’s is hands down the best restaurant in San Marcos. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food is always outstanding. The steak tartare is excellent — easily the best I’ve had anywhere. Every visit feels special, and it’s the first place I recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience in town.

Literally a diamond in the ruff. It’s in a strip mall but is some of the best high end food I’ve ever had. Everything good on the menus and bar tenders know their craft!

We had a wonderful experience at Cody's, I had the blue cheese salad wedge and the Beef Wellington. The salad was perfect for a blue cheese lover, and I've always wanted to try the Beef Wellington, which delivered superb flavor and texture. The chocolate cake was very light!

This is a hidden gem! It is located in a strip center across from outlet mall. Very unassuming, but the quality of the food is amazing! Very unique menu! We got the shrimp cocktail & burrata for our appetizers. The shrimp were huge, cocktail sauce was the best I’ve ever had. The burrata was beautiful presentation! We ordered the pork chop & short rib for main entree. Both were so delicious. Espresso martini was legit & the old fashion was excellent! Our waitress was so sweet! Highly recommend & make sure you have a reservation. It is small & cozy! It is a bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for!

Mexican martini to open up an appetite was a good call. The beef wellington was absolutely amazing. It's such a lovely atmosphere. The patio area is great at night with so much charm. I'm surprised this place doesn't have more Google reviews.

Experienced fantastic food in a dressy-casual place. Steak was great. Highly recommend the roasted brussel sprouts.
