What a wonderful restaurant tucked into the Southside of San Marcos near the outlet malls. Our server, Mikey, was so kind and attentive and all of our food was amazing. We started with the SHOKUPAN (JAPANESE MILK BREAD) and the bread was superb. We also enjoyed the COCONUT PANKO FRIED SHRIMP. (Please see photos of all foods mentioned in review.) Cody’s is hands down the best restaurant in San Marcos. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food is always outstanding. The steak tartare is excellent — easily the best I’ve had anywhere. Every visit feels special, and it’s the first place I recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience in town.
We had a wonderful experience at Cody's, I had the blue cheese salad wedge and the Beef Wellington. The salad was perfect for a blue cheese lover, and I've always wanted to try the Beef Wellington, which delivered superb flavor and texture. The chocolate cake was very light!
