The food is NEVER hot and only slightly warm. Today they had chicken masala - it wasn't. No sauce just chicken juices and no spices let alone masala curry. I got a small piece of chicken with a piece of onion; no rice to go with it let alone other veg. Next semester I am not getting a meal plan and will only eat here when I don't have time to pack a lunch.

Good, but not as good as Harris. Not very good on the weekends. Skews a bit less healthy than Harris, so I prefer Harris. Convenient location, but no power outlets and kinda dark. I’d go here if studying at the library or have classes nearby, or if Harris is closed

Parking: Pedestrian zone

Kid-friendliness: Probably fine. I regularly see some little children here

Plays music too loud like Harris does. Food is okay, but Harris has a better balance with more sweets and generally better food. There’s like 2 outlet sockets in the dining area, and they’re 2 prong and in inconvenient spots.Only thing saving it is that it might have slightly better food than Harris on weekends, but both have terrible food on the weekends. Hours are also limited. The general consensus among students seems to be “its worse than Harris, and is in a less convenient location, but it has closer proximity to a some other locations (classes/library)

Parking: There isn’t a bike rack. It’s in a pedestrian zone, so obviously there is no reason to have car parking

Kid-friendliness: Probably fine. I regularly see some little children at Harris. Might be hard to find something they enjoy, but there will probably be at least one item for them.

Only one protein at time and the rest is either carbohydrates or vegan related courses. If you're a student athlete looking for a balanced meal this is definitely not the place!

I was very pleasantly surprised at the variety, the presentation and the quality of the food here. The chef even came to the table and introduced herself. She was asking if we were pleased with her food and also asked if we had any suggestions or comments. For me, this was highly unusual ?

This is the best place to eat on campus

This is a common go to place for Texas State University students when it comes to a good lunch in a cheap price. they offer buffet menu if you pay $10 entering the Dining. they have wide variety of food including vegan menus and very little meat items but there are some. you can take any dessert or cold or hot beverage here after you were in. the atmosphere is very friendly for any students and it is basically self service. Nobody will provide any table service here. The disposing system is pretty neat you have to keep your plate and glasses to an automatic disposable unit and that will take back to the kitchen. one thing is they have a very small washroom so maybe you will not have an instant access because it is always occupied. However this is the best deal in campus when it comes to a great meal in the cheapest price and quickest service. the location is very convenient from the other side of Campus gate, you can grab a shuttle if it suits you, or maybe you can walk to Alkek library and go to any direction that you need to go. One important note is this will be closed before 4 p.m. so if you want to go there to make your time and go accordingly.

I like that there are different choices every day, but you can always get a waffle or pizza!!
