Stopped by this food cart on a road trip from Austin to Devil’s Backbone. Decided to pull off at this little park and grab something to eat. Had the Reuben and a side salad, both were great. Ended up chatting with the owners, Gretchen & Luke, for quite some time. Some of the best people you’ll ever meet. There’s also a great place to grab a drink next door. My favorite stop so far on my vacation. Highly recommend giving this place a try!!!

Wonderful food and wonderful folk! Their Reuben is pulling hard for best in town with the parmesan crusted rye bread. Wish I took photos but couldn't wait to get to business.

Okay best sandwiches in town. I can’t express how crisp her greens are all the time like all the time!!! We’ve gone through the menu over the past couple of years and I swear I waited for the day they made a Google account so I can just let it all out here. From the quality of meats to the breads and the finishing touches like a simple dressing so worth it. If you’re in town and she is open trust me go by and try any of the sandwiches you can’t go wrong. I can and have eaten the veggie sandwich days in a row with no shame. So delicious. If you’re a sandwich lover go by and let your tastebuds live their best life for real. During the cold months her soups are so good and the Thanksgiving specialty sandwich has been ran back to back on more than one occasion because it’s that good. I personally need to see Darrel’s Board thrive for my own guilty pleasures and I’m not even playing I’ve legit told her that too. Also please take into consideration that these are hand crafted sandwiches so that means they do take a bit longer than those fast food places. Just sit back and relax while your order is getting ready for you. You will most definitely not be disappointed.
