10 out of 10 I recommend!! Love when bbq spots have good tasting meat AND good sides. Hays Co has it all. Delicious, tender, and flavorful brisket. Yummy pork ribs. Sausage is on point. Jalapeno cheddar is 🔥🔥 and the sides… bomb 💣 regular mac n cheese is so good. It’s not gritty like most places. It’s creamy and has perfect seasoning, but their hatch mac n cheese is phenomenal. The beans, chefs kiss & they have brisket in them 🤤 It’s all good. The staff is quick, attentative, and friendly. The owners are sweethearts. I definitely recommend.

The atmosphere wasn't bad but the food was horrible. I know they are moving or something but I tried brisket, turkey, sausage, jalapeño cheddar sausage and pulled pork. Nothing had any flavor and I didn't like the bbq sauce also. I've heard good things before but it didn't work out for me. I would give it a 2 out of 10. I won't be back to ever try again but maybe they had an off day

Clunky and slow service line, it was lunchtime. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich, pinto beans, and drink after a long wait in the cafeteria style line.

The pulled pork was overdone, dry, with hard bits of meat, and not very flavorful. The only thing that saved it was the sauce. They have two kinds on the table and they were not labeled. I asked a customer about them. I was told one was Buffalo sauce and the other regular BBQ sauce, which is what I used to save the sandwich. Even with jalapeno and onion on it the sandwich was barely edible to me. The bun seemed as though it was in a warming drawer for too long. It was crumbly and fell apart. I also had their pinto beans. Now they were great! Perfectly cooked and seasoned, nice clear broth, and it had pieces of brisket in it. Plus sweet tea.

Maybe the brisket is better. But based on my trip I don't think I'll be returning.

I dont like giving bad reviews. But we are two women married. But as soon as we entered. The cashier did not give my wife a nice welcome as we expect as soon as he saw her pride shirt. Specially since its our first time coming to this restaurant excited to have a nice meal. So we ordered anyway. But did not offer beans but with a sarcastic comment if we wanted pickles. The food is not the same as Rudys and the customer service as well. Not coming back.

We stopped in here on our way to the Tanger Outlets and we were all very happy we did! Great meat (had turkey and biscuit- delish), great sides (had jalapeño creamed corn, potato salad, hatch green chili Mac, and green beans- all delish as well) and both the Oreo/chocolate pudding and banana pudding- following suit like above, delish! ☺️ nice big clean space, service was super kind and helpful and when my daughter spilled her soda everywhere, they were so quick to respond and help without even asking! Overall great spot and worth going to!!

My favorite BBQ place. Do not leave without trying the beans, lots of cracked pepper and chunks of brisket. Any meat you get will be great. They serve bottled beer and recently added some liquor options.

Saw it on a YouTube video so came to try it. The staff were great. But we were a bit underwhelmed by the restaurant and the food. We ordered a tiny bit of everything. Ribs and sweet pickles were the only two things we'll re-order, if we go back.
