11/10 !! I loved everything about Insomnia Cookie! Their vibe, their food options, and the service! The people who work there are always so sweet and helpful! The cookies always come out warm and delicious AND their ice cream is divine! Would recommend this place to anyone, one thousand percent!

Ordered some cookies for delivery on DoorDash. The cookies have a wonderful texture. A nice crisp when biting in followed by a wonderful chew. The flavors weren’t impressive. However it was a nice change from the insanely sweet cookies. The snickerdoodle’s seems a little bland and I ordered a classic campfire and received what I believe to be chocolate chunk? If it was classic campfire it was very hard to tell. Honestly not a bad cookie. Would recommend.

So the first time I got them I got them delivered. I always see them on TikTok etc so wanted to give it a try. I spent over $60 and they were so hard and so cold. Couldn’t even bite them they were so hard. So I went back thinking ok I got them delivered let me give it another shot and go to the store instead. It was a little better. The salted caramel cookie was soft but all the others were hard and I love their caramel ice cream. Went back a 3rd time they were all hard. The only cookie I’ve had luck with is the salted caramel cookie. Makes me sad because the flavor is there. The people who work there are sweet but for the price and the quality of the cookies I won’t be back unless I go for the ice cream

First one trying insomnia & they did not disappoint. I only tried peanut butter deluxe and red velvet classic because I wanted to practice a little self control . But I will be back 😍 . They were warm & perfect. Our favorite was the chocolate peanut butter cup deluxe cookie & red velvet classic was good to me, but I wouldn’t order it again. It didn’t have a super WOW factor. But they are ACTUAL COOKIES , like you can finish it by yourself in one setting ifykyk .
Classic are a standard sized cookie . For kids my husbands says .
Deluxe are a little bigger ❤️.
I will be back !!!! Customer service was amazing, environment was clean and simple.
They take military discount . They also allowed our dog to come in ( dog friendly — maybe)

Insomnia Cookies in San Marcos is located right on the square downtown, and they heavily advertise their warm cookies. I decided to try the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie with ice cream. The cookie was placed at the bottom of the dish with a scoop of ice cream on top. While the ice cream was full of flavor and very enjoyable, it ended up cooling the cookie down too much. I think it would be better if they served the cookie standing up with the ice cream on the side, so the cookie stays warm.
As for the cookie itself, it was mediocre—not as soft or warm as I expected. The ice cream really stole the show in this dessert. Next time, if I decide to give it another go, I'll just get a cookie on its own to experience it warm like they advertise. Overall, it’s worth trying for the ice cream, but I’d suggest skipping the combo if you’re looking for a warm cookie experience.

Really nice staff and really good food. It was late, probably around 10 pm, and we had a group of 7, but the guy at the counter was full of energy. We had never been to the shop, so he explained the menu well, and helped us decide what we wanted. The chacolate chunk cookie with Minterstellar ice cream on top was just so good!
