A real special place. We met friends and sat outdoors on the edge of the river. Food was excellent. We had our pictures taken by staff and they give you one with options to buy others. Good time for us all.

The only reason I am even leaving this review is to give recognition to the young bartender that’s out on the patio name Colton I have never came across a more polite, respectful young man. Whoever management is definitely needs to recognize his hard work because seriously I’ve carried on a conversation with him for over an hour and I am a woman in her 30s so it’s not like he was flirting with me. It was a genuine true nice conversation.

Had dinner here. Menu had a variety of things to choose from. We sat outside and it was beautiful evening. Service was great. Everyone liked their meals and drinks. I would highly recommend giving it a try. We will be back when we are in town again.

Awesome spot for lunch and people watching. The patio was peaceful and the view was A+! I had the bacon jam burger & fries. My husband had the Queso Fried Chicken Breast (don’t recall its official name). Both were very good. Our only complaint is that we were too full to order dessert!

Fantastic little pub on the river. Gluten free options, even dessert! Staff is friendly and courteous, and don't interrupt you unless they notice a drink or a plate is empty. They have a dog friendly porch, and the wait staff is attentive to the dogs too! Ice water bowls on hot days!

Iverson Pub is a local treasure. Great location with views overlooking the swimming area. Shaded outdoor area with stage and bar, or you can sit on the deck, or inside with a/c overlooking the water as well. Great service and price with unique offerings amd quality food. Great drinks too with specials everyday

We just had our Jack C. Hays High School 50th Reunion at Ivar's River Pub, Saturday, Oct 4th, 11am-2pm. It was an amazing gathering; the outdoor venue incomparable because of the gem of the San Marcos River view, the drinks and food delicious, the service great, and working with Denele Gunnarson, VP of Ivar's was refreshing. Thank you Denele and Ivar's River Pub for helping make our 50th Reunion so memorable! The 'spirit' of Ivar Gunnarson and his legacy is alive and well on the beautiful banks of the San Marcos River. Gerrel Williams, Chair of the 50th and Marieta Hutchison, 1975 Hays H.S. Class President.

Nice setting. Service was good although our food order took a long time and they were not at all busy (lunch). The burnt ends were in fact, pork instead of beef which I didn't realise until after I had ordered. They were tasty, but 1/2 fat. I later determined that they put so much salt on their food, I had a bloated stomach the rest of the afternoon. Around 7:30 at night I had one bite of my wife's left over Salmon and it was so salty, it didn't taste like salmon at all. Probably won't return.

Our first time here and we loved it! Our table ordered a catfish plate, chopped steak, pesto pasta and a burger and it was all delicious! Our burger was a little dry but still had a good taste. Being the fatty that I am, I picked at everyone’s food and the pesto pasta was by far my fave 🤤 Our waitress was kind and attentive, and although it was a little hot in the patio area (even though they tried to turn on a fan but the pull chain broke 😅) we’ll definitely be returning! 😄😄😄

Beautiful scenery, it wasn’t too hot and it wasn’t too cold. Today was overall a great day to be out on the patio getting food.
First time here! My only complaint is the food didn’t seem to be fresh it seemed as it was leftovers , the temperature of the food seemed to be room temp. I was also disappointed in the queso and guacamole burger while the burger was very well seasoned the cook put so much guacamole it just over powered everything and just became too much.
