This place has many clearly-labeled vegan options. I got the vegan breakfast platter with Dr. Praeger’s patties, tofu scramble, and pancakes. One of the pancakes was cinnamon swirl with sugar glaze and vegan butter on the side! Decadent and delicious.

We ate there after the TXST graduation ceremony, with a group of 16. Hollan was our server and she was totally ON POINT! Everyone absolutely devoured their food and raved about it. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we went there again the next day with a group of 7. Mary was our server and she was equally awesome. The food is delicious & the staff is super friendly and on top of their game. This will be our go-to place in San Marcos from now on!

Kerbey Lane is a must when visiting San Marcos. Plenty of indoor/outdoor seating options. Great views of the river. And of course delicious food! Kid/family friendly!

The food is great. Our server was really good but it was busy so she didn’t come by as often as we needed. It was understandable though. We were seated by the front desk so there was a lot traffic past our table. I’m sure another table would have been nicer but we got seated right away so I’m good with it. The pumpkin bread French toast was awesome!!!
Parking: We got there fairly early so we found a good spot but once it got busy it would be hard to find a parking spot
During a very chill, non-busy brunch hour (11:55am) on 10/11, my friend and I walked in and waited to be seated. I went to the bathroom and in that time, several wait staff passed the other half of the party and didn’t acknowledge her at all. One sat down at the bar and pulled out his phone, back turned and when I came out, ended up being the person who seated folks. He only stoppe stop chat with us after a To Go order was handed to him. We waited a few more minutes then were finally helped. We asked to sit outside and he handed us the menus and left. From 12:09-12:36 we sat on the deck, waited without ANY acknowledgment again, and watched 3 different people help the 3 other tables who were either going to order, getting alcohol or receiving their meals. Nobody ever came to ask if we had been helped, no water was given, nothing at all. So we walked out at 12:40 with still no interaction from any staff and when we did, one of the girls working the deck was at the bar on her phone and talking with the host, who was also planted at the bar again on his phone. We ended up going to another spot in SM where we bumped into a couple who had had a similar experience earlier that morning at Kerby’s with their daughter. I understand taking a breather between tables, and I understand being slammed at work pero, Kerby wasn’t even remotely slammed when we got there- inside or outside- and, the lack of give a damn, really sucks. Especially since we love coming in from out of town to munch there and it’s usually a fine experience. Y’all will be fine without our business and I’m sure this will go unbothered by you as well but, acknowledge your customers, even if it’s just a quick, “someone will be right with you.” Soft skills are a thing, friends

Even in the rain in December, beautiful .. the views are perfect. The food was pretty good too, I had the chicken Benedict and only thing I would add is more of the onions and they’re picked onions, not carmalized. But I loved the dish. They offer military discount . It’s dog friendly. They have heaters outside ❤️ the omelette verde was healthy, lacked in wow factor but it was a light breakfast and my husband felt content . We would go back maybe in the summer for another vibe .
Ah, just okay. They cook could not get my order of eggs correct.

I never write reviews but today I just have to. My neighbor and I go out and eat breakfast every couple of weeks and go to different places. We've been to Kirby lane several times and have always been happy with our meals. Today we went in and were seated quickly only to sit there for 15 mins without even being offered coffee. Kids walking around slapping their flip flops making extra trips to do one thing at a time at an empty table while we sat there. I even said, "excuse me, " And still nothing. I walked over to the front and asked about a getting someone over but my neighbor walked up and said that we were leaving. I told the kid at the front desk to let the wait staff know to at least acknowledge the customer. It goes a long way. To ignore they will lose customers. A bunch were standing at the kitchen entry just chatting. What a shame... going to be quite a while before I go back to KL in San marcos, tx. We wanted to dine in but now I'm unable to fill out the rest of the questions.
