I went there at 5/30/25 wasn’t too busy around 5ish and horrible service, the girl which was the only server not only doesn’t pay attention while ordering but so arrogant, couldn’t even give me a extra plate which is ridiculous. I love the food though the homemade guacamole is so delicious, I didn’t even wanna tip but I still did because I support small businesses. Overall was decent besides the server she should find something she likes doing besides serving with the locals.
I’m from corpus and have been looking for a good Mexican restaurant for years… looks like I’ve found one! Very comparable to what I’m used to back home. The service was great, I loved the cozy look of place and the food was delicious! Their salsa is amazing.
Had the Manas plate and the Taco plate some of the best I've had in San Marcos. Nice people super friendly.
I love going to Manas because of the food the people and the scenery. I've been going there since I was just 15 years old. I ran into people that I haven't seen in awhile so it's a good place to go and catch up on Old Friends.
I LOVE Mana’s! This is a family-owned neighborhood gem that has long been one of San Marcos’ best-kept secrets. For locals, it’s where you go when you want an excellent Mexican breakfast, lunch, or dinner without question. You almost have to be a local to know about Manas, as it is tucked deep into a neighborhood past the historic district. Tourists and day-trippers would never accidentally pass it, since it is way off the beaten path.
The food is all homemade- down to the tostadas holding your chalupa. Everything is incredibly fresh and delicious-always served with a smile!
Great food

Long time and current hyper-local favorite neighborhood texmex food. OG San Marcos. I've enjoyed it since 2000. Open since 1976 I believe. Don't miss the chicken tortilla soup and the BEST CHILE RELLENO in town. Excellent chips and salsa. Great specials. Don't let the humble appearance dissuade you, it's authentic and delicious. BYOB last I checked. The food is not slapped together, it's all prepared home-style with care. The owner can be found working inside. Cozy Mexican decor earns 5 star atmosphere. Much better than Herbert's Taco Hut or Garcia's overall. Very underrated outside of the neighborhood and also by new residents.

If you know, you know. Wonderful service, great food.
Tex-mex as you would remember it… fresh chips, delicious salsa (I bought two jars), and big scoops of guacamole not a Lupe Tortilla “teaspoon” worth. Go.
Great little spot.
oldie but a goodie
