Mixed Experience: Decent Food, Disappointing ServiceMy recent visit to Pho 88 left me with conflicting impressions. While the food was indeed decent, the service was anything but. The staff displayed a noticeable attitude problem, making the dining experience less enjoyable than it could have been. From the moment I walked in, I felt unwelcome, and throughout the meal, the staff's demeanor remained indifferent and at times outright rude. Despite the flavorful pho, the poor service overshadowed any enjoyment I might have had. It's disheartening when good food is let down by bad service, and I hope the management addresses this issue promptly to ensure a more welcoming and enjoyable experience for future customers.

Good was amazing, but Servers & Owners acted like we stole something from them, not even a smile, and so stingy on condiments and napkins, NAPKINS? May or may not go back.

RUDE RUDE RUDE. rushed us and swept all around our feet, placed the check right next to us while we were still eating, told us we needed to eat fast and were very rushed and rude. horrible environment and borderline ruined the vibe of our date. would never eat in person again. Food was great though!

To start off walking in, the waitress was quite rude and continued through the rest of the service with such a negative tone and attitude. The menus were placed aggressively and the order process just felt overall uncomfortable. As I was eating the food I ordered I noticed a thick black hair embedded in one of the noodles when I was just about finished with the dish. I took a photo and showed it to the waitress and she proceeded to accuse me and say that I placed it to frame them. She also said “you ate the whole thing” which is insanely disrespectful. I also was told by the waitress that they’re all wearing “hats” not HAIR NETS. That is insanely unsanitary which lead me to going to the restroom and gagging, almost throwing up the food I had already eatin. I would absolutely not recommend eating at this restaurant, it is not relaxing at all and there are much better places to dine with your friends and family. All the 5 stars you see for this restaurant are from years ago and not current with the true service today.

We stumbled upon this charming Vietnamese restaurant on LBJ Drive in San Marcos while en route to Austin. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with exceptional service. Samantha, our waitress, was incredibly friendly and assisted us in making our selections. The dishes arrived promptly, piping hot and bursting with freshness. The egg drop soup was a delightful blend of flavors, brimming with egg white and small vegetables. The General Tso chicken was perfectly crispy, yet moist, and accompanied by a thick and delectable sauce. The generous portion of chicken and vegetable Lomien was both satisfying and packed with flavor.Without a doubt, this little gem will be our go-to spot for the finest Vietnamese cuisine.
