The espresso was a bit too acidic for me last time, so this time the barista helpfully suggested trying the Nitro. Definitely a good suggestion! Still highly caffeinated with good flavor and much much smoother and easier on the stomach! I also enjoy that they have a couple of gluten free pastry options like donuts and cookies 🤤

We drive the extra distance to Summer Moon mainly for the pastry. They have good coffee and great atmosphere but we prefer the craft coffee of Lamppost. Recently Summer Moon changed the vendor of their pastry and now the pastry is mediocre in our opinion. Too bad. It's not worth the extra miles anymore.

I love Summer Moon but they have recently changed their pastry selection and the quality is not nearly the same as before. Specifically the chocolate croissant and the plain croissant. I understand wanting to try something new, but this is a downgrade. The original croissant used to be rolled up like a cinnamon roll and the best part was getting to the soft center.
