Tarbox & Brown

Two of us ordered coctails, french dip, and devilled eggs as an appetizer.

Sandwiches came out first. They were small and appeared to have been microwaved. It had 3 small pieces of dried out beef on a dried out roll, nothing else. They came with a small portion of watered down aus jus and hardly any french fries.

We didn't get water, drinks, or our appetizer for some time, after the sandwiches were delivered. Needless to say, the drinks were watery and eggs tasteless.

The food was overpriced and awful. I will not return nor recommend this particular location.

This location is inside Kissing Tree community in San Marcos, Tx.

We have dined here many times and it has always been very good. Our last two times we have dined with Skye as our server (we requested her the second time). She is so welcoming, inviting, attentive , and a great sense of humor. We feel like we are dining with family. Brooke has done a wonderful job of staffing the restaurant and making sure it runs smoothly with great detail to customer service and making sure the guests needs are provided.

We went on filet mignon night and the food was delicious! I don't think I've ever tasted yummier asparagus! Service was great, David the chef, came to talk to us at our table which was very nice. We Always have a good experience there.

The four of us had the weekly dinner special which was beautiful Ribeye steaks with frites. Well marbled and seasoned beef. Perfectly medium rare. Two of us subbed frites for grilled asparagus. Our server Sky was there every time we needed something and she even anticipated what we needed before we asked. We closed the place down and will be back soon for a seafood special.

The food was amazing! We had the Bang Bang Shrimp for an appetizer and it was delicious. We had the peppercorn crusted fillet and it was out of this world! Chef David is a masterful chef.

We LOVE Maria! She is definitely our favorite waitress and always has amazing recommendations for new dishes to try. The food is delicious and proportioned just right. Lemon Ravioli with Shrimp is a must try!

We enjoyed a beautiful meal at Tarbox & Brown this evening. Maria was helpful and friendly. So glad to have this lovely spot on our backyard. Come and enjoy the sunset!

From Wednesday late lunch. Thanks to Kirby, we had another great experience at Tarbox & Brown. We are so pleased to have this wonderful restaurant addition to San Marcos.

From Friday evening dinner. Chef David, the paella is superb. I hope it moves to the main menu. And thanks for the great service Kirby. What a wonderful evening at Tarbox & Brown.

We ate dinner Friday night, August 2nd here and the food was great and service was excellent! My husband had a burger, and I had tomato soup and a grilled cheese. Our waitress, Kirby H. Was so personable and quick. She was a sweetheart. We will be back!

Great meal! I tried the paella as an appetizer and each piece of the seafood was cooked perfectly. I had the filet as my entre with asparagus and whipped potatoes. The filet was tender, juicy and cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed my meal and the service was above my expectations. I highly recommend Tarbox and Brown.

Tarbox and Brown never disappoints. Yesterday we had the crab cake special. Delicious!!!
Logan was our server and he took great care of our large table (12 people) on the patio late on a Friday night. He was very polite and the food was served promptly and professionally.

We had a great dinner with friends, and the food was wonderful!
. We live here in KT and so excited to have this restaurant. Also very pleased that the prices are reasonable, especially when we bring our friends .
And, Of course, Skye did a great job! She has been our server before, and we are always happy when she serves us!
