First time visiting Tarbox & Brown for lunch, during a golf tournament, which was unplanned, but the staff took care of us. Many thanks to Libby for getting our order in quickly. We had to place our order at the bar and pay in advance, but the food was brought out to us. The staff continued to check on us to make sure we were well taken care of. There was a self-serve drink fountain for refills $3.00. The entrance included staff checking you in to Kissing Tree Golf Club, see photo enclosed. Turn left and left again before you see Tarbox & Brown toward the back. Food was very good and warrants a return trip for the redfish and shrimp etouffee. Dinner menu is served on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please indulge with the Shrimp Jalapeno Poppers $9.50 as they were excellent. The other photo is the French Dip Grilled Cheese sandwich $17. Also tried the Breaded Redfish Sandwich $16.50 which was very good. Nice outdoor area as well that can accommodate larger groups. Booths and traditional seating inside were comfortable.

We had the mahi and mushroom ravioli and both were amazing! Sitting outside at sunset also was beautiful. Our server was attentive and friendly. It may become a regular for us.
You can't go wrong stopping in here!

Very good food We had the chicken fried chicken with mash potatoes, andouille sausage gravy, salad and asparagus spears. Outstanding! Service was very good too. All for a reasonable price.
Our service wqs outstanding and the asparagus tempura never disappoints. We also had the special which was lobster and shrimp tacos and they were also delicious.
We had a delicious dinner at Tarbox and Brown this evening. Skye was our server and she provided excellent service! You know when you go out to eat and the server is always there when you want her, but not hovering?! That was the case with Skye tonite. Well done Skye! Chef David prepared the special, Cottage Pie, for my wife in a vegetarian way and she loved it. I ordered the Mushroom and Onion Fettuccine Carbonara and it was very tasty. Well done T&B!

First time really enjoyed it skye and Ashlee did a great job. Food was delicious and was the atmosphere.
The service was excellent and the food was very good. My family from Chicago was impressed.
The filet special was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was tender and juicy. Teamed with a fresh salad and veggies. The wine menu is limited but I found a moderately priced Pinot noir which teamed fine with my steak. Initially a server did not welcome us to our table. However, once one was assigned to us all went smoothly. I will definitely come back on filet night!
This is the third time we've (my husband and I, and three other residents, have had the Wednesday evening special which included the 6 oz filet, salad and a veggie. Each time the service has been excellent and the food delicious. Each of our steaks was fixed according to our specific request. We can't wait to eat there again soon. We all love having T & B in our neighborhood!

Emily did a great job taking care of us. Brooke, the Manager came by the table to make sure we were enjoying our meal. We purposely went for the steak night special on Wednesday and it was excellent. Cooked perfectly. Had a nice bottle of wine to enjoy as well. Will definitely return.
Truly, our favourite in the area. Servers are attentive and not overbearing. Chef David is always on his game.
We had a lovely dinner on the patio tonight. I had the meatloaf which was delicious and my husband had the chicken fried chicken. He was happy with his meal too. We live at Kissing Tree and the restaurant has had its ups and downs but I think things are in a good place now.
Two of us ordered coctails, french dip, and devilled eggs as an appetizer.
Sandwiches came out first. They were small and appeared to have been microwaved. It had 3 small pieces of dried out beef on a dried out roll, nothing else. They came with a small portion of watered down aus jus and hardly any french fries.
We didn't get water, drinks, or our appetizer for some time, after the sandwiches were delivered. Needless to say, the drinks were watery and eggs tasteless.
The food was overpriced and awful. I will not return nor recommend this particular location.
This location is inside Kissing Tree community in San Marcos, Tx.

We have dined here many times and it has always been very good. Our last two times we have dined with Skye as our server (we requested her the second time). She is so welcoming, inviting, attentive , and a great sense of humor. We feel like we are dining with family. Brooke has done a wonderful job of staffing the restaurant and making sure it runs smoothly with great detail to customer service and making sure the guests needs are provided.
