Boy oh boy, where do I begin with this review?A friend of mine and I go to Texas Bean & Brew House at 11:00am this morning for a late breakfast. I've always passed by this place and never tried it, so we stopped. We ordered a Chicken & Waffles plate and a Belgian Waffle plate- I also ordered a Tiramisu Breve. My drink comes out maybe 10-15 minutes after it being ordered, no big issue here, it was a great cup of Joe, but as we wait for our food, we notice everyone around us who had gotten their meals ordered after my friend and I. Finally, I get my Chicken & Waffles plate. The presentation is lackluster, it was almost thrown together in a frenzy, but alas, presentation isn't everything. Then we wait for my friend to get their meal... We continue to wait for another 15-20 minutes until their Belgian Waffles come. Once again, presentation isn't great, but we'd already been waiting an hour total for our meals to come out, so we dig in. When I say this is the worst waffle I've had.. I mean it. It was mushy, almost undercooked, had no flavor... I got 2 little chicken strips that resembled Tyson's Frozen Strips, and the syrup was most likely Hungry Jack's. My friend's meal had maybe 6 slices of strawberries and a sad dollop of Reddiwhip. Not only did our food take an hour after its order time to arrive, but it was also flat out not good. After attempting to wave down a server for 5 minutes, I finally catch one and ask them to speak to a shift supervisor or manager. The manager asks me to follow them inside so I could be issued a refund. As I'm waiting, a man in his 40s-50s comes out from the kitchen and asks me what was wrong with the food. I explain that I had waited a decently long time to get it, my friend waiting even longer than I had, and that our meals just.. were not good. I've never spoken up about a meal being wrong or inedible, I usually suffer through it, but this time, I felt the need to.. We waited a long time, we were sold something completely different than what we received, and so I felt it was appropriate to speak up. The man continues to say I'll be issued a refund, but to "Do him a favor and never come back."... Never have I received such revolting "customer service". I get it, I most likely insulted this man's business, but I tried my best to remain lighthearted yet firm. I spent $30, 2 hours of my labor, on meals for a friend and I only to not eat it.. To conclude this review, I'd like to say that criticism is necessary for growth. As someone who works in the food/retail industry, it's so important for guests to speak up if something isn't up to par- that's how you can improve your business, your team, and your interactions/connections with guests. To be shut down and told to never come here again after trying my best to remain positive about wasting my time and money is really heartbreaking.. If you want great service and delicious food, I suggest checking out the Root Cellar or the Blue Dahlia Bistro on the square.

Nice, clean, spacious diner/beer/coffee house with very friendly service. I stopped for breakfast a little past 9 am on a quiet Wednesday and had the B&B as recommended by the cashier. Service was quick and the pancakes and the sweet potato hash were excellent, the sausage patties and eggs okay. I don't often need to eat breakfast out, but for the next time, this place is on the top of my list.

First time here, the food was homemade but just didn’t care for all the people everywhere. This place was packed so we sat outside. It was a nice atmosphere just to chill if it wasn’t that crowded.

I went yesterday to eat breakfast with my 1yr old son and my best friend and had a terrible experience with the owner of the restaurant. It is not a kid friendly place! I was very disappointed with her treatment of my son only because he was crying. Her and another man kept staring at my son and the man even made a face to him. The owner immediately came up to me and told me to pick him up as he was “disturbing the ambience of the restaurant”. Even though I had asked for strawberries for him when I made my order as he can get fussy when seated. Now I have came to this restaurant many times before and on busy days it is anything but quiet. I am not sure how she doesn’t notice the way she speaks to customers and her negative demeanor. I ended up leaving because I won’t stay in a place that claims to be family friendly and hates crying babies. She just kept going on about how my baby was ruining their peace and disturbing customers. I saw she responded to some negative reviews on here talking about an “unhappy baby” and even said he was distressed. He was perfectly okay he was only crying for like 2 mins before she decided to come over. She was rude and the fact that I received no apology. I left the place crying because of how unwelcome they made me feel. Even her employee apologized to me and said what happened was wrong. I used to love this place, i used to come all the time for a good breakfast but it is just a negative ambience and customer service is terrible. I even had left a review from a year ago about how great the food was but I deleted as they do not deserve it.

Our Service was not the best, I have came here before but the old white lady is always starring us down. We did not feel welcomed and made us feel uncomfortable. The food was not the best and come out late and cold.

Food is good but the service is terrible. Not kid friendly at all even though it's a family restaurant. If your kid cries or gets fussy you will get stared at by the owner. She is not the friendliest

If you have children this place is not the place for you. They bash on you and tell you to leave the place if your kid is disturbing other customers.

Do not order online. This place is great unless you dash it. 3rd time and I will not try a 4th. They hid my burnt peppers and onions and the bottom of my food. Needless to say that bite made me puke. I tried calling multiple times but I guess they're having phone issues. UPDATE: finally spoke an MIC and she said sorry multiple times and that I should've contacted her before posting pictures on here. I told her I wanted my correct food and was unable to get there, she said a refund was all she could do aside from speaking with staff. I declined the refund. Again y'all careful when online ordering here, I suggest to go inside or be able to drive back if needed.
