We used Root Cellar Catering for breakfast and dinner while hosting a corporate event in the area. Our group was so impressed with the quality of food for each meal. The staff was also super accommodating and easy to work with to organize the event as well as the crew who did the drop off. Highly recommend them!

The food and menus are very outdated and seem as if someone wanted to be a chef just looked for recipes, had money, and made a business out of it so they can play restaurant. There is no cohesiveness to the menu or how they execute any dishes. Food is very flat and compares to what they would serve at a hospital or nursing home. They claim to be a scratch kitchen but over 80% of what they do is frozen or brought in precut and already made and they just jazz it up with salt and pepper. Very overrated as a restaurant, company, and would never recommend them to cater even a pizza party. Overpriced, poor quality of food, and very poor execution in all dishes. Plenty of other catering companies that offer cheaper and better products. Very disappointed in this experience with them.

We ended up having only half the guest count we anticipated and Vanessa was very accommodating to making many adjustments to our proposal. All the food was truly delicious, all our guests were raving that night and texting us days after about how they enjoyed the food. We had leftovers and were still enjoying the food the following week and it was still good!I would recommend Root Cellar and Vanessa for any catering needs you have.

All of the food was delicious and arrived hot even though our venue didn’t have a full kitchen on-site. The agua frescas were delicious too!
