Totally our go-to ramen place in SMTX. Food is tasty. Good selection of broths. Probably the most authentic Japanese food in San Marcos. -- The hit comes in at price. They have raised their prices quite a bit in recent years. I get inflation and location. But it's ramen. Four people are going to be over $60.

Our meal was delicious. I have been wanting to dine here for years but never had the time to do so. Finally, with my wife dining with me, I was able to visit Toro Ramen and Poke Barn. I am kicking myself for not trying this wonderful restaurant sooner. The cucumber salad was a piece of art, and the Poke bowl was filling and delicious. Pictures are posted.

One of our favorite restaurants in San Marcos! Friendly staff, great food. I bounce between the Tonkotsu ramen and Tokyo Miso ramen. If you're wanting to avoid driving up Austin to go to Ramen Tatsuya then this is your place.

I got the shoyu ramen and it was quite bland. The server did the bare minimum and forgot to get a drink while nothing in the restaurant was happening. Staff only went around asking if we needed to buy more things and not if we enjoyed anything. If you want a mediocre experience come here!! If you want something better go to shai yo or anywhere else in this city. Also $3 for a waiter cup of chili paste is crazy.
The food was amazing! I got the vegan miso ramen and added a marinated egg. The flavor and presentation were spectacular! Service was friendly and fast. Not a lot of people present at 12pm on a Saturday. 10/10 will be back.

Almost immediately after we arrived they turned off the lights to half the restaurant, which led us to think they were closing soon. This was at 7pm, we check the hours and their closing time is 9:30pm.We ordered with Anabel which through our entire meal was attentive, kind, and helpful. She recommended some delicious food. The spicy tonkotsu ramen was delicious. The gioza too. However, the edamame was overcooked, and not as tasty.Their was an individual there however which seemed rushed and sort of made the environment uncomfortable. Not necessarily welcoming. She would bring us an item and take off like thank you BTW
