Great meals we had the Catfish and Oysters, they were EXCELLENT!!! The Chef, Staff and Food was unbelievably wonderful...10 Stars if that was an available option. We really enjoyed all of the above and will be going back soon bringing friends and family! Oh BTW, BYOB. Can't say enough good about the food and staff. We have eaten at the BEST Cajun restaurants in San Antonio and they should be worried about losing business to Wendell's Cajun Restaurant.

Delicious lunch! Wendell’s shrimp po’boy was delicious- excited to go back and try the oysters. Chef Wendell himself came out a couple times to make sure everything was good.

The food was the greatest. We had Boudin balls, catfish platter, Shrimp platter, alligator bites and Beignet. Everything was cooked to perfection and the taste was amazing. Toddler loved every bite too. We will definitely eating here again!

Our first time at Wendell's tonight. Heard so many great compliments! They are all true. We had the catfish platter, shrimp platter, mac and cheese and Beignets! The food was prepared with the right amount of seasoning and was very delicious! And, oh, those Beignets - you have to try them! Chef Wendell and Chef Kevin are the best and very friendly! We will be back to try other dishes! Glad they are here in our neighborhood!

Finally a cajun restaurant nearby I want to go back to!! Anyone looking for great cajun food, this is the place!Wendell’s was recommended to us by a friend and admittedly we were a bit skeptical. We have been missing good cajun food since we moved here from Baton Rouge almost 2 years ago. Lots of places claim great cajun, few actually impress. Do not let the catering in the name fool you, they have an open dining room fully decorated in Mardis Gras fashion. We were greeted with a smile and seated by the window. The owner, who is readily available, graciously answered all my questions and laughed at my skepticism as I went over the menu. We ordered the boudain balls, blackened shrimp poboy, and blackened alligator poboy. After the appetizer came out I understood his smirk. It was fabulous!! The poboys came out each with a large side of fries and excellent presentation. They were even more fabulous than the boudain balls! We will definitely be going back!! Sadly I will have to add a better photo next visit (hopefully). Most of the food was gone when I realized, I forgot the photo! So I was able to get a decent photo of half of my shrimp poboy which still shows how delicious it looked!

Fantastic food, prepared by a wonderful man! Wendell has an obvious passion for feeding people. This is by far the best Cajun cooking I have found in the greater San Antonio area. He recently expanded his dining room, so previous comments about scarce seating are not as applicable. If you like Cajun cooking, you DEFINITELY should try Wendell's!

Decided to try Wendell’s Cajun food today. The jumbo shrimp poboy was excellent. True jumbo shrimp, fresh roll and tasty zesty sauce. Better than any $12 double burger I have ever had. Can’t wait to try their other dishes, and am going back for my dinner today.

Went to the new location today for some smothered catfish with Mac and cheese and gumbo. Everything was so good. The mac and cheese is always good but it tasted even better this time. Everything I ordered was worth the hour drive from Austin. I will be back soon
