So disappointed with this restaurant. We are moving to the area and we have been there at least four times and it has been so underwhelming that we will Not go back again!!

The place was slammed tonight. Even so, the bartender Eric made me feel like I was his only customer there, he constantly kept checking on me and everybody else in the establishment. He let me know and kept me in the loop as the status of my order. Which was greatly appreciated. I will be back.

Revising my first review. Now that the gremlins have been worked out when they first opened. Things have improved drastically. The food is amazing and the atmosphere here is peaceful and welcoming! I recommend the pecan house salad.

This place lacks nothing in the looks or environment dept.
I was pretty cold inside, seemed like the temp was around 68-70 degrees which required me to put on my jacket.
The place seemed slightly understaffed but all of the staff that was there was friendly.
The food was a little pricey for what I got and I waited probably in the neighborhood of 30-45 minutes for my meal to come out. Thankfully I wasn’t in a hurry so this didn’t bother me too much.
The meal was great and they have lots of neat items on the menu that you won’t see everywhere.
I would come back as this place has tons of potential, especially for a small town but is just lacking in a couple different areas currently to make it a top notch restaurant.

The restaurant was nice, but beware if paying cash, they do not make exact change. They give you dollars back but keep the change. I asked if it was their policy to keep people's money (nickles dimes pennies, quarters) and was told yes. It is not right to just take money owed the customer. If they do not make exact change, then they should not accept cash.
I would have rated the restaurant higher, but I do not like being taken advantage of. I work for my money as they do.

The decor is great. Neat place to visit. The food was average at best. I had the venison chili and it was more like a watery ground beef and was served cool not hot/warm. I also had a cob salad which was fine but all the ingredients were very basic (package ham, unripe avocado etc) seemed more like something I could get premade at a Walmart cooler. My wife had a blt and described it the same, basic and pre made quality. This place needs to up the quality of the ingredients. The server was fine just seemed real new and not very warm. Please take the feedback as a compliment, we want you to do well. Great concept.

The food and atmosphere was great. Really cool building, but finished out in finer dining style. This restaurant is going to do well. The menu was reasonably priced, necessary in a small town like San Saba. The service from our young waiter was good, but he seemed to be handling too much on his own. We had to wait too long a few times for refills and the check. All in all, we enjoyed the meal and will remember this place when travelling through San Saba in the future.

This restaurant is beautifully designed and decorated from top to bottom. Has to easily be the fanciest place in town. That said,
- server was ok. Said she is new and she didn’t seem overly warm.
- temp in the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. Had to get my jacket and rush through the meal to get out.
- restrooms are well done but there was no hook for my purse and the soap stinks. It’s basic restaurant supply cheap soap and it stinks.
- food was super basic and did not reflect the high end finishes of the restaurant at all. Cobb salad has cheap packaged ham, was not at all restaurant quality.
- I asked for cheese in my sandwich, it showed up without.
- venison chili was served room temp in a thimble sized cup and not noteworthy.
This place is gorgeous and has a ton of potential but we would likely never return.
