We were cruising through town between Austin and San Angelo. There was no wait, the food was perfect, and the dessert (chocolate cake) topped the evening.
It was so good, I'd recommend a road trip from wherever, a pretty drive and an excellent dinner.

A swampy martini, cloudy and grim, Not what you ordered, not quite the whim, No whiskey sours here, that’s long gone, Now Pinot Noir, but something’s wrong.
Lettuce dirty, wilting and sad, A salad that’s tired, quite frankly bad, Yet still they smile with a pretty face, While service falters, falling from grace.
Oh, Pecan House, with your lovely facade, Beneath it all, there's a rougher charade, A place to dine, perhaps, if you dare, But don’t expect much — just beware.

Highly recommend this place. We are new to the San Saba area. The wedge salad is great, chicken fried steak is delicious AND the macaroni and cheese is the best you will find. The waitress Jayliegh is adorable. We will be back!!
