Millican Pecan Company - San Saba, Texas
199 C R 100, San SabaI ordered 3 Lbs. Of pecan half’s and Chocolate Turtles for my sisters birthday! The pecans looked very fresh. I was so impressed by the packaging of the chocolates, they packed it in an insulated bag with ice packs, it was very smart on their part since I live in Texas and it’s the middle of August and it’s been 107 degrees all month!! Thank you Millican Pecans for your thoughtfulness!! You have a lifetime customer in me!

Alamo Pecan & Coffee Co
601 E Wallace St, San SabaThis is a MUST stop every time we roll through this town. We buy their pecan coffee for us and for family members as gifts. The shop smells wonderful! Of course you have to pick up some candied pecans while you’re there. We also buy online and have it shipped when we can’t make it there. The last time we were there I found this super cute coffee mug ?

Napoli's Italian Grill
210 E Commerce St, San SabaThis place is ON POINT ☝️The owners are AWESOME. On memorial day they were the only ones willing to feed us. We just wanted to eat and spend some money and no one else wanted to help us but these people welcomed us with OPEN ARMS.And OMG the food was amazing! The service was top notch! The wife never forgot a single thing, kept our drinks topped off, ran around the place like a busy bee. They were so friendly! Tacos Mi Casa
311 N High St, San SabaI only ordered 1 potato and egg taco (decent size), but I thought about it all day. Excellent customer service. Also, this place is cash only, which we didn't realize until after we ate. They were still very polite about our situation. Don't let the building scare you off!

Agave Jalisco Mexican restaurant
1203 W Wallace St, San SabaAte here 2 years ago when we came to San Saba for the first time on our "COVID-cation" end after getting lunch here one time we ordered breakfast another time and dinner another time. Everything was solid. Ordered takeout yesterday for dinner. The pechuga is great. Sour cream chicken enchiladas are as well. Jalapeno salsa and regular red salsa are both great. You can get both in 8, 16, or 32 oz allocations. They take credit card, and every time we ordered 2021 and now in 2023 I was taking them less than 10 minutes to get everything together. Fast, efficient, and they even have a pull-up window if it's too hot to get out of the car ?. Very good Mexican food!Kid-friendliness: They have a lot of the usual options for kids. My daughter is an extremely picky eater and ate almost all of the chicken tenders, but didn't so much care for the fries.

Pecan House Grill
408 E Wallace St, San SabaBest restaurant in San Saba and possibly the Hill Country! If you're looking for atmosphere, fabulous food and fair prices, you won't be disappointed. I'm a creature of habit and always order the brisket queso and bacon wrapped jalapeno's for appetizer and the chicken fried steak with jalapeno gravy for my main meal. YUMMMMMMY! The staff are super kind and very helpful. It's definitely worth the drive!

Delicias Del Rancho
206 E Commerce St, San SabaBest tacos in San Antonio no doubt. My father used to take me there when I was young and now I take my family there as well. They love the potato and egg. Like no other you have ever tasted. You have to try it to experience it. The Lady's are great and get you in and out of there quickly. My personal favorite is the country sausage, a little spicy but delicious. The owner is very nice as well and always around.

TX BBQ
305 N High St, San SabaThis place is off the main road .Gave em 4 for the workers. Gave em a 2 because it was a waste of money and time. Nothing to write home about. As a matter of fact, just wait until you get home and barbeque yourself. Ribs were flavorless. Didnt have even a hint of barbque aroma.Potatoe salad creamy and tasteless. Beans ok but use yr salt n pepper . You know that good ole barbeque smell at these kind of places ? Not one here at all. Maybe they bbq at home then brought it over. This place is very basic which would be ok if the food was any kind of good. The waitress and Raul were super sweet and very very good. But yet and still, save your money and ease on down the road. Oh yeah, they have a byob sign on the outside . They're right next to a convenience store if you're needing gas.

The Bend General Store
115 County Rd 438, San SabaThis is the coolest little dive bar in the Hill Country. A gem in the middle of nowhere with great decor, a cool stage, live music, and a pool in the bar area where you can watch the band play! The guy who left the review whining about getting served soda in the can ain't the type for this awesome place anyway!
