Today was my 1st time at this restaurant. I was craving pizza and it was close to my job. I ordered online which was simple and I picked up my order.
I got a personal pepperoni pizza and it was really good.

The pizza is great. I love their different drizzle options and the basil ranch is bomb. The pizza rolls are something I get as a meal when I don't want to commit to a pizza. The wings weren't as crispy as I prefer but maybe that's bc I got saucy wings. My family loved the tajin dry wings and I remember liking the garlic parm wings but these are all dry wings. I feel like sauced wings should still hold their crispy crunch and I don't think theirs have the few times I've tried. They could work on expanding their sauces; the sauce choices are really basic. They have a small selection of craft beers I liked the last time I ate at the restaurant. Overall, it's very good. I'm just not giving 5 stars bc they can do better on the wings.
Kid-friendliness: There's a small play area for young children near the front door w toys.

Best pizza in town! It is always fresh and the staff is friendly. Today I ordered for delivery and the pizza was hot and delicious; Hershel was very polite.

Absolutely the best pizza, rolls, wings, and customer service! Rare to have a restaurant go above and beyond on every detail!
Food is Mid, 10" pizza were good, On larger pizzas dough was inconsistant. Service is attentive. Very upsetting to see this happen, The amount of build up is from a long time of neglect, the dusty vents are directly above the pizzas. urinal mat was removed after being told it was the same one from weeks prior <(o.o)>....or even months. Gnats are in several locations. Dusty ahh.. crate over Dough, means its been doing that for a while. Everyone walks thru those curtains and uses their hands to open it, then proceed to hand people food. Cup bin looks dusty too , cups lip side down...?? And no i was Not Terminated i left on my own accord, due to your negligence and failure to address these concerns, and I am very upset. Thats why I left.

I am all about finding places that eat for gluten free or gluten sensitive people. This was the first time that I had a gluten free pizza in a while that tastes like pizza. By that, I mean the toppings were fresh and didn’t taste like it came out of a bag. Maybe it did, but it sure didn’t taste like it. They have gluten free crust, and gluten free cauliflower. Not all cauliflower crust is gluten free, but I was assured that theirs was. I am only gluten sensitive (for now) and had no stomach issues after eating. The service is very fast and the young folks working were very patient and attentive. Thanks Mattenga’s for a good 1st experience!

Time for an update. It's been 4 years since I reviewed this place. Went in, it was busy. So what. Wrong. When businesses get busy, quality slips. Ok ordered a couple of pizzas. Wife asked for double mushrooms. And if you know Mattengas, toppings are a bit pricey. Soda fountain was out of 4 flavors, Dr Pepper being one and making my daughter grumpy. Got the food and gave to say double mushrooms here is more like normal amount of mushrooms anywhere else. That made my wife grumpy. Daughter complained the pizza was too saucy. It was a plain cheese. Also daughters and wife's pizza looked a bit over cooked. Visible signs of charring.
Mattenga’s is always our Go-to pizza! The flavors and choices are excellent! Will always recommend!
