My son bought Barbacoa & Tamales, Sunday Nov 5, 2023 the food was fresh and tasted great. My husband bought Barbacoa & Tamales, Sunday Nov 12, 2023 the food was not fresh, reheating the Barbacoa on Monday 13th, it smelled bad. The flour tortillas are always raw. Food is very expensive to be throwing it away.
It should be noted this location only provides Take Out Service. There aren’t tables and chairs nor restrooms to use. But for what it is currently it does provide Exceptional Service and Food. It is Hot, Flavorful, and Ready to Eat. The Barbacoa is the Best Barbacoa anywhere. I recommend getting there early as they run out and the last few orders of the day usually have more fat.I have been coming to this location for the past 3 years. I wish they had a location in New Braunfels....
The barbacoa at Rios is great. They have different orders on the menu offering combinations of barbacoa, tamales, chicharones, menudo, advocados, corn & flour tortillas, red, green and Pico de Gallo hot sauces.
