A non profit that supports and employs adults who identify as having disabilities, i.e. Autism, down syndrome, etc. The managers and employees were some of the KINDEST I've met. Prices were rock bottom. The items in the shop were carefully curated and appeared local. The aesthetic was wholesome and there was plenty of space inside and outside to sit. Study vibes are not what come to mind here but there wasn't any music playing, so I could see this being a really pleasant place to get work done! The affogato was a delight and utilized Amy's ice cream. The cappuccino was lovely and pictured below. The caramel coffee frappe was delicious but heads up that it doesn't contain coffee. I realized when it came out and they accommodated me by providing espresso shots that I added to my frappe. The strawberry lemonade was hand squeezed and fresh! Support this local spot however you can!

So glad we popped into Jack and Mary’s whilst in Schuldenberg. The employees were so kind and Shopping with a purpose is always good. Jack and Marys is just the spot as some purchases support “And Then” a work program which provides meaningful work, social, and life opportunities for young adults on the autism spectrum, or have learning challenges. The goal of Jack and Mary’s is to create a friendly communal space and offer meaningful social and work opportunities for the young adults enrolled in “And Then!” Added bonus: my husband recognized some of the decorations as being from the old Cozy Theatre (which his grandparents owned) which they called the a“picture show”/ movie theater 100 years ago.

We stopped for a coffee on our travels along I-10 just for a coffee, but left with some things from the shop and a smile. Very nice place with good coffee that stands out in the location.

Beautiful cafe! It was the perfect spot for our drive back to Houston! Drinks were great and the outside seating was amazing on a cool December day.

Stopped in for iced coffee and matcha. Both were so good! They roast their coffee in house and do work with special needs adults. Love the yard and they had chalk out for the kids. I will keep coming back!

It's more than a coffee bar.
